You know what? When I first walked into this place on Starowiślna, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s basically a residential apartment building, nothing fancy from the outside. But honestly, this two-bedroom setup completely surprised me in the best way possible.

The location is actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Kraków rather than just visiting it. Starowiślna street puts you right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to the Old Town (seriously, maybe 10 minutes on foot), but you’re not dealing with all the tourist chaos right outside your window. I loved that I could grab groceries at the little shops nearby and cook breakfast in the full kitchen – which, by the way, has everything you actually need, not just the bare minimum most places give you. The bedrooms are properly sized too, not those cramped hotel boxes where you’re bumping into furniture every time you turn around.

What really sold me on this place was all the little details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The Wi-Fi is solid (I was working remotely part of the time), there’s decent water pressure in the shower, and the beds are comfortable enough that I wasn’t waking up with a sore back. The building itself is quiet – well, typical city quiet, you’ll hear some street noise during the day but nothing that kept me up at night. Parking can be a bit tricky on this street, just so you know, but there are options nearby if you’re driving.

I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was traveling with friends or planning a longer stay. It’s got that homey feel that makes you want to actually spend time in the space instead of just crashing there between sightseeing. Plus, you’re walking distance from some really good local restaurants that aren’t on every tourist’s radar – there’s this little pierogi place around the corner that became my regular spot by day three.
