Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about this place on Blich 9 – it’s one of those apartments that actually gets Old Town right. You know how most vacation rentals either dump you in some soulless modern block or stick you in a “charming” medieval dungeon where you can’t stand up straight? Well, this three-bedroom somehow threads that needle perfectly.
The location is honestly what sold me on it. Blich Street isn’t one of those tourist zoo areas where you’re dodging selfie sticks at 7 AM, but you’re still right in the thick of things when you want to be. I mean, you can hear the cobblestones under people’s feet if you’ve got the windows open, which sounds annoying but it’s actually kind of nice – gives you that authentic old city vibe without the tour group chaos. The apartment itself feels lived-in in the best way possible. Three proper bedrooms means you’re not doing that awkward dance around a sofa bed, and there’s actually space to spread out your stuff (travelers with kids, you know what I’m talking about). The kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from one of the local markets – which, honestly, you should do at least once because hotel breakfast gets old fast.
What really surprised me was how quiet it gets at night. Old Town can be tricky that way, but this particular stretch of Blich seems to hit that sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to dinner but far enough from the main party streets that you can actually sleep. The only thing I’d warn you about is that parking situation – it’s Old Town, so obviously street parking is basically a fantasy, but there are a couple of garages within walking distance if you’re driving. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that “meet me at the corner with the broken streetlight” nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The whole place has this solid, dependable feel to it – four stars feels about right, and that 7 rating probably reflects what I felt too. It’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it does everything well and lets you experience the city like you actually live there for a few days, which is honestly better than most hotel experiences anyway.
