Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Krakow, but this apartment on Wielopole actually surprised me. You know that feeling when you walk into a place and it’s just… better than the photos? That’s what happened here. The building itself is classic Old Town – you’re literally steps from the main square, but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy or cramped.

The private sauna thing isn’t just marketing fluff either – it’s actually a proper Finnish-style setup tucked into what I’m guessing used to be a storage room. Honestly, after walking around those cobblestones all day (and trust me, your feet will feel it), having your own sauna feels like luxury. The four bedrooms are generous too, which is rare for Old Town apartments. I mean, most places here squeeze beds into spaces that should probably be closets, but these rooms actually have breathing room. The main bedroom gets morning light from Wielopole street, though if you’re a light sleeper you might want to close those heavy curtains – there’s some early morning delivery traffic.

What really sold me on this place was the kitchen situation. It’s got everything you’d actually want to use, not just the bare minimum. We ended up cooking a few meals because, well, eating out every night in the tourist zone gets expensive fast. Plus there’s a Żabka right around the corner on Szpitalna street for basics, and if you walk maybe three minutes toward Planty park, there’s a proper grocery store. The location is honestly perfect if you know Krakow at all – you’re close enough to everything that matters (St. Mary’s Basilica is like a two-minute walk), but you’re on a side street so it’s not complete chaos outside your window. Though I’ll be honest, in summer when the outdoor dining scene really picks up, you’ll hear some street life until maybe 10 PM. Nothing terrible, just… city sounds.

The check-in was smooth – they met us right at the building entrance, which saved us from wandering around with luggage trying to figure out Polish apartment buzzers. Small thing, but it mattered after a long travel day. The whole place feels well-maintained too, like someone actually cares about the details. You know how some rental apartments feel temporary? This doesn’t. It’s got that lived-in comfort without being worn down.

  Modern, well finished and very clean. Freaky close to everything, private, wasn't noisy, very spacious and good sized rooms with wall sockets everywhere which is very handy. Had a small dish washer and 2 bathrooms. Each room has it's own large window and it all had very high ceilings.
  Looks like it's just been updated.
  Walking distance to wawel, old and new town square.
  
  What could be improved: All the pillows were flat with that cut up foam filling tiny pieces inside (the spare pillows that were inside the cupboard also were flat), only 1 roll of toilet paper for the 2 nights and 2.5 days for 3 adults so we had to go buy more, there was no remote to the TV the entire time. The pillows were the main issue. Only 1 cup for 2 bathrooms to rinse your mouth with.

  Vaieldamatult üks parimaid kohti, just hinna-kvaliteedi suhtes. Suurepärane korteri asukoht, puhtus, mugavus, hubasus ning lisaks avar. Sellise hinnaga, kus on veel lisaks väike saun sees-mida enamat tahta! Konditsioneerid tubades olemas. Voodid samuti mugavad ja suured ning suur pluss oli ka 2 WC-d, kus ühes dušš ja teises vann.
  
  What could be improved: Ühes toas konditsioneer küll töötas, aga ei puhunud meie viibmisel külma õhku ning selletõttu läks palavaks. Esimesel ööl ei töötanud saun, aga see probleem likvideeriti kohe järgmisel päeval seega usun konditsioneeri mure on ka lahendatud tulevikuks.
  Meie olime arvestanud kirjelduses oleva ehitustöödega kõrvalmajas ja meid see nii palju ei seganud(kõrvatropid olid antud magamiseks) aga teistele teadmiseks, et puurimised võivad hakata juba 7.30st peale ning seega kergema unega inimestel võib olla raskem pikemalt välja puhata antud perioodil.

  Bardzo ładne mieszkanie,czyste i przestronne, w bardzo dobrej lokalizacji. Miłym akcentem była Sauna, z której z chęcią skorzystaliśmy.

  What could be improved: Dostaliśmy wiadomość że możemy zameldować się o godzinie 11, dojeżdżając na miejsce czekaliśmy 5,5 godziny by móc się dopiero zameldować… Przypominając, że o godzinie 15 już jest czas dla nas na zameldowanie się. Dzwoniąc do właściciela dostaliśmy informację że przedłuży się to do godziny 15:30, przychodząc do apartamentu dostaliśmy wiadomość, że będziemy mogli wejść dopiero po godzinie 16, czekaliśmy tak na klatce apartamentu do godziny 16:30. Nikogo nie interesowało że mieliśmy ze sobą pełno bagaży a na dworze był okropny upał i nie mieliśmy się gdzie z nimi podziać. Brak żadnej możliwości dogadania się z właścicielem. Lekceważenie naszych próśb.
