You know what? I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Krakow’s Old Town, and 4Wings Apartments on Starowiślna really gets it right. The moment you walk up to that building – it’s this beautifully restored spot right in the heart of everything – you can tell someone actually thought about what travelers need. The entrance has this solid, welcoming feel that immediately made me think “okay, this isn’t going to be one of those tourist trap situations.”

The apartments themselves are honestly impressive. I mean, they’ve managed to keep that old Krakow character (you’ll love the high ceilings and original details) while actually making everything work for modern life. The kitchen setup is proper – not just some sad mini-fridge situation – and the beds are genuinely comfortable, which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given in this price range. What struck me most was how quiet it stays at night. Starowiślna can get lively, especially during summer evenings when everyone’s wandering between the restaurants, but the windows do their job well. I actually slept through the night, which doesn’t always happen when you’re this close to Market Square.

Speaking of location – and I know everyone says this about Old Town places – but being right on Starowiślna means you’re literally three minutes from Cloth Hall and maybe five from all those incredible restaurants tucked into the side streets. More importantly though, you’re close enough to Kazimierz that you can easily walk there for dinner (it’s like a fifteen-minute stroll along the river), but you don’t have to deal with the late-night party crowds that sometimes camp out in that area. The building sits right where the real residential part of Old Town begins, so you get that authentic neighborhood feeling – there’s a great little bakery just around the corner that locals actually use, not just tourists. Check-in was smooth too, no weird complications or waiting around, and the staff clearly knows the city well enough to give you actual recommendations, not just the obvious tourist spots. Honestly, with a 9.3 rating, I went in expecting it to be good, but it’s one of those places that actually lives up to the hype.
