You know what struck me first about Academia Apartments? It’s one of those places where the name actually makes sense once you’re there – there’s this quiet, studious vibe that feels completely different from your typical hotel chaos. I mean, sure, it’s got four stars, but honestly, it punches way above that weight class with a 9.2 rating that feels totally earned.

The apartment setup is where this place really shines, and I’m talking about proper living spaces, not those cramped hotel rooms where you’re tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. You get actual kitchens – like, with full-sized fridges and decent counter space where you can spread out groceries from the local markets. The living areas have that lived-in comfort that makes you want to actually hang out there instead of just collapsing on the bed after a long day of sightseeing. I spent way too many evenings just lounging on their surprisingly comfortable couches, planning the next day’s adventures while making terrible coffee (that’s on me, not them – they provide proper coffee makers, I’m just hopeless with anything more complex than instant).

What really sold me was how quiet it gets at night, especially considering you’re still close enough to everything that matters. The soundproofing is actually solid – I was expecting street noise but barely heard anything, even with windows cracked for fresh air. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that standing-in-line-behind-tour-groups nonsense you get at bigger hotels. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing; they’ve got that helpful-without-being-pushy thing down perfectly. Parking wasn’t the nightmare I’d braced for either, which honestly was a huge relief after dealing with some absolute disasters at other places in the area. The whole setup just works well for people who want hotel services but prefer apartment-style space – you can cook when you feel like it, spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your belongings, but still get fresh towels and someone to call if the WiFi acts up. It’s that sweet spot between independence and convenience that’s surprisingly hard to find.

  We only stayed there one night but we will be back for sure! They helped me hold my luggage until check in time and made sure that everything was okay during our stay!
