Amber Boutique Hotels – Hotel Amber Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Amber Boutique Hotels – Hotel Amber feels like discovering a well-kept secret tucked away on Garbarska Street. The building itself has that classic Krakow charm — you know, the kind where centuries-old architecture meets thoughtful modern touches without trying too hard. It’s intimate in the best possible way, with just enough refined details to remind you this is a three-star boutique property that actually cares about getting the small things right. The lobby strikes that perfect balance between welcoming and sophisticated, setting the tone for what turns out to be a genuinely pleasant stay.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot in Krakow’s Old Town. Garbarska Street puts you right in the thick of things — I mean, you’re literally steps away from the Main Market Square, but tucked just far enough off the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with constant crowds right outside your window. The location score of 9.6 makes complete sense once you start exploring. You can walk to Wawel Castle in about ten minutes, hit up the best pierogi spots without breaking a sweat, and actually, couples seem to love this area especially (they’ve rated it 9.6 for romantic getaways, which tracks perfectly with the intimate Old Town vibe).
The Room Experience
The rooms are where this place really shines, particularly if you’re someone who values a good night’s sleep. The beds here are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel marketing comfortable, but the kind where you actually wake up feeling rested. Each room has its own character while maintaining that boutique hotel aesthetic that feels curated rather than cookie-cutter. The spaces aren’t huge (this is Old Town Krakow, after all), but they’re thoughtfully designed with enough storage and workspace that you never feel cramped. Plus, there’s something satisfying about looking out your window at those historic cobblestone streets.
Breakfast & Amenities
The breakfast setup offers both continental and buffet options, which gives you flexibility depending on whether you’re rushing out to catch morning light at the castle or planning a leisurely start to your day. What I appreciate is that they don’t try to overcomplicate things — just solid, fresh options that fuel you up for exploring the city. The hotel also offers private parking, which is honestly a game-changer if you’re driving in Krakow. Anyone who’s tried to navigate Old Town parking will tell you this amenity alone is worth its weight in gold.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something refreshing about a hotel that knows exactly what it is and executes it well. Amber Boutique Hotels – Hotel Amber doesn’t pretend to be the flashiest place in town, but it delivers on the fundamentals that actually matter — prime location, comfortable accommodations, and that personal touch you get from a boutique property. The 8.9 rating reflects what you experience: a place that consistently gets the details right without any unnecessary fuss. For travelers who want to be in the heart of historic Krakow while still having a peaceful retreat to return to each evening, this spot hits that sweet spot perfectly.

It was really a great vacation in this small wonderful hotel. The room was very clean and included all needed facilities: coffee maker, tea maker, safe and a small fridgeder. WIFI was good, breakfast was also good and included fresh vegetables and fruits. We liked this hotel very much.

P from United Kingdom (9/10)
Fantastic location, helpful, friendly staff. Spotlessly clean, you could choose if you wanted your room cleaned each day or not which is a nice touch. Something for everyone at breakfast. Beds were comfy, curtains must have been m blackout as no light came in which is a must for a good nights sleep in my opinion. The and coffee facilities in your room which are topped up, even a small fridge which came in useful. I can’t think of any negatives apart from the pillows.
