Antique Apartments Plac Szczepański Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name “Antique Apartments Plac Szczepański,” I was expecting some stuffy, overly formal place with creaky floorboards and furniture you’re afraid to sit on. But actually walking into this place? It’s got this perfect balance where you feel the history without feeling like you’re staying in a museum.
The location is what really sold me, though. Plac Szczepański is right in the thick of things – you’re literally a two-minute walk from the main square, but somehow you dodge most of the tourist chaos. I mean, you can still hear the horse carriages clip-clopping by in the morning, but it’s more charming than annoying. The thing about this square is that it’s where locals actually hang out, not just another photo op spot. There’s this great little café right across the way where I’d grab my morning coffee, and the guy behind the counter actually remembered my order by day three. You know what I love? The building itself has this gorgeous old-world facade, but inside they’ve done these smart renovations that don’t try too hard to be modern – more like they just fixed what needed fixing and left the character alone.
The apartments themselves are honestly bigger than I expected. These aren’t your typical cramped European hotel rooms where you’re doing yoga moves to get around the bed. The kitchenette actually works (I made pasta one night when I was too tired to hunt for dinner), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The WiFi was solid too, which matters when you’re trying to upload photos or figure out your next day’s plans. Now, fair warning – this is a 3-star place with an 8.7 rating for good reason, not because they’re pretending to be something they’re not. The shower pressure could be better, and if you’re on the street side, you’ll hear some late-night chatter from people heading home from the bars. But honestly? That just felt like being part of the city’s rhythm. What really impressed me was how clean everything was, and the staff – there’s this woman at the front desk who knows absolutely everything about Krakow. She steered me toward this incredible pierogi place that definitely wasn’t in any guidebook I’d seen. The check-in was smooth, parking… well, good luck, but that’s Krakow’s old town for you. You’ll want to use one of the nearby garages anyway. I stayed there in late spring, and the windows opened wide enough to get that perfect cross-breeze going. Perfect spot if you want to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it, without paying those ridiculous boutique hotel prices.
The luxury concierge service in Krakow offers personalized access to private royal collections, traditional Polish dining, and VIP cultural experiences in this historic Polish jewel.

The location was 2 minutes walk to the main square and within walking distance to all attractions. There was a lovely bar next door which served great English breakfast and a shop the other side. The apartment was really spacious and beds really comfortable.

Absolutely loved this stay at antique apartments. Loved all the features especially the elevator. We stayed in apartment A31. Our apartment had everything we could need, was spotless clean and the beds comfortable. Excellent location, like 200m from the main old town square if that.
