Apartament A Dietla Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Apartament A Dietla on a quiet street in Kraków’s Old Town, you immediately get that “I’m staying somewhere special” feeling. This three-star property sits right at Dietla 5, and honestly, the location is pretty much perfect — you’re literally in the heart of everything without being on one of those tourist-packed main drags where you can’t sleep at night. The building has that classic Kraków charm, and you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the outside.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about this spot — couples absolutely love it here, and I can see why. You’re a short walk from the Main Market Square, but far enough away that you actually feel like you’re experiencing the real city. The apartment style setup means you get more space than your typical hotel room, which is clutch when you’re traveling with someone and need a bit of breathing room. I mean, being able to grab breakfast from one of the local bakeries and eat it in your own space? That’s the kind of travel experience that makes a trip memorable.
The Space Itself
What really works about this place is how they’ve managed to create a proper living space rather than just somewhere to crash. The kitchen setup lets you store those Polish treats you’ll inevitably buy at the markets — trust me, you’ll want somewhere to keep that oscypek cheese fresh. The space feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, which some people love and others might find a bit too casual. Personally, I think it strikes the right balance between comfort and that authentic local living experience you can’t get in a chain hotel.
Breakfast & Local Flavor
The breakfast situation here is actually pretty thoughtful — they do continental, vegetarian, and vegan options, plus breakfast to go if you’re the type who wants to eat while wandering the cobblestone streets. What I really appreciate is that they seem to understand different travelers have different needs. Some mornings you want to sit and plan your day over coffee, other times you just want to grab something and head straight to Wawel Castle before the crowds hit.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ve ever stayed, but that’s sort of the point. The location score of 9.2 tells you everything you need to know — you’re getting incredible access to Old Town without paying Old Town hotel prices. Couples keep rating the location at 8.9, and after spending time in this area, I totally get it. You can walk to dinner, walk to sightseeing, walk to late-night drinks, then actually get a good night’s sleep because you’re not right on top of the action. It’s that sweet spot where you feel connected to the city but not overwhelmed by it.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Krakow through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s medieval charm and cultural heritage.

Cozy modern interior, clean, incredible location. The apartment is on the subfloor. Don’t worry about the supposed view of trash cans – they are hidden in a little green wooden shack. The host is cooperative and there is a luggage storage in the corridor for up to 24h.
