You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Apartament A2D when I first pulled up to Poleska 2 – honestly, Czyżyny isn’t exactly the neighborhood that screams “vacation vibes.” But here’s the thing about staying outside Krakow’s main tourist bubble: you get a real slice of how locals actually live, and this little apartment totally delivers on that front.

The place itself is refreshingly straightforward – no fancy lobby or doorman trying to upsell you on spa treatments, just a clean, well-maintained building where you can actually hear yourself think. What really won me over was how thoughtfully everything’s set up inside. The owner clearly gets what travelers need (decent wifi that doesn’t cut out during video calls, a kitchen stocked with actual useful stuff, not just a random fork and broken can opener). The bed’s comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with a rock, and there’s surprisingly good natural light streaming through the windows. I mean, for a 3-star place, the attention to practical details is honestly better than some of those overpriced hotels in the Old Town where you’re paying extra just to sleep within stumbling distance of the main square.

Location-wise, you’re about a 15-minute tram ride from the heart of Krakow – and actually, I started to prefer it that way. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel with local cafés where nobody’s speaking English and grocery stores that close at reasonable hours instead of catering to tourist schedules. There’s a decent bus connection that gets you to Kazimierz pretty easily, and if you’re planning day trips (Auschwitz, salt mines, whatever), you’re not fighting through crowds just to get out of the city center. Parking isn’t the nightmare it is closer to Wawel Castle, which saved me probably an hour of circling blocks and muttering at my GPS. The only minor thing – and this is really nitpicking – is that the area goes pretty quiet after 9 PM, so if you’re the type who wants to stumble home from bars at 2 AM, you might feel a bit isolated. But honestly, after days of sightseeing, I was grateful for somewhere that felt more like a neighborhood than a tourist theme park. That 8.9 rating makes total sense when you factor in the value – you’re getting genuine comfort and space without paying the “historic district” markup.

  Easy check in with provided instructions. Private parking for two cars is available, it can be full but there are plenty of places to park around the property. The room was clean.
  
  What could be improved: It was quite cold in the room. Also there were no toiletries for shower(shampoo, shower gel) which was a bit unusual for such property.

  The whole building looked new, clean and very nice. Our room was pretty spacious and had everything that was described on Booking. It was also very clean and smelled nice. It also has a shared kitchen and dining place, however we didn’t use it.The snow in the private parking was shoveled away and there was enough space for 2 bigger cars or 3-4 smaller cars. The neighborhood looked to be nice and it was also quiet. There is a tram stop about 8 minutes from the property that goes to the main square. Communication with the owner was good, they were very helpful and they understood English well enough.
  
  What could be improved: The beds were older and they had springs and unfortunately one of them was pretty loud whenever you sat/lied down or got up. However we slept good.

  The room was spacious, neat. The stay was comfortable and the owner was quite helpful and considerate. Even though it is 25 min away from the centre (via tram) but the place is calm, which I liked.

  The location is situated in a quiet neighborhood, but close to two tram stops with lines going to the center of the city. The whole building is recently finished with the rooms and facilities still new and clean. The parking is private but with the possibility to find parking on the street. The shared kitchen is fully equipped. If you are looking for an accommodation situated farther from the town center, this is a great choice.

  Very good building, sorounding. Balcony and very good equiped kitchen. Very quiet region. about 5-7 till public transport and Lidl supermarket.
  
  What could be improved: When ordering facilities an booking.com we would expect to get Shampoo and dushe Gel, this was missing from some reason.

  Private parking is available free of charge (and even if it is full, there is plenty of parking space on the street);

  What could be improved: No shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom (there was only handsoap);
  The beds were a bit too narrow (but still very comfortable).
