Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Apartament Elementos when I first walked up to the building on Dietla Street – the entrance is pretty understated, tucked into what looks like just another Krakow tenement. But you know what? That’s actually part of its charm. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Main Square, but you’re on this quieter stretch where locals still go about their daily business instead of dodging tour groups.
The apartment itself really lives up to that 9.8 rating, and I mean that. The “elementos” theme isn’t just some cheesy gimmick – they’ve actually thought through how earth, water, fire, and air elements work in the space. The bathroom has this incredible rain shower that feels like… well, like standing in warm rain (obvious, I know, but it’s surprisingly rare to find one that actually works properly). The living area has these gorgeous exposed brick walls that give you that Old Town vibe without feeling like you’re sleeping in a museum. And the kitchen – honestly, it’s better equipped than my apartment back home. I ended up cooking way more than I planned because everything was there, down to a proper coffee grinder and local honey someone had thoughtfully left behind.
What really got me was the location awareness of whoever runs this place. They’ve got blackout curtains that actually block out the morning light – crucial if you’ve been sampling Krakow’s nightlife – and the windows face the courtyard, so you’re not dealing with street noise from Dietla. Though let me tell you, Dietla isn’t exactly a highway anyway. You can walk to Wawel Castle in about eight minutes, hit up Kazimierz (the Jewish Quarter) in ten, but you’re also right next to this little corner shop where the owner speaks perfect English and stocks everything you forgot to pack. There’s this tiny pierogi place called Zapiecek just around the corner that the hotel recommended – turns out it’s where the locals actually eat, not the tourist version on the square. The whole area has this lived-in feeling that’s getting harder to find in European city centers, you know? Real people still live here, hang their laundry out windows, walk their dogs in the morning. Check-in was refreshingly simple too – they sent detailed instructions beforehand, and the key pickup spot is in this cozy little café where you can grab proper Polish coffee while you’re at it.

Location is great, plenty of space for at least 5 people
What could be improved: It has no free parking, but parking spots around aren’t that expensive, so its not a big problemPerfect location for our stay in Kraków – Catherine from United Kingdom – May 20, 2025 (10/10)
This property was spacious and modern and had everything you needed. It was clean and comfortable and in a great location close to the Jewish Quarter and in walking distance of the centre. The host was very helpful and responded to questions quickly. We were able to organise early check-in and leave our luggage at the apartment after checkout, giving us more time to spend exploring the city.
