Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Krakow apartments, and Apartament Golden Place 2 honestly surprised me – in the best way possible. You know that feeling when you walk into a place and immediately think “okay, this is actually nicer than the photos”? That’s exactly what happened here. The apartment sits right on Ul.Św.Wawrzyńca, which I’ll admit sounds intimidating if you don’t speak Polish, but it’s basically Saint Lawrence Street – and trust me, you’re going to love this location. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the main square, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: you’re tucked just far enough off the main tourist drag that you won’t have drunk bachelor parties stumbling past your window at 2 AM.
The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there (well, someone who has really good taste and keeps things spotless). I mean, there’s proper kitchen equipment – not those sad little hotel kettles and two mismatched plates you usually get. The bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works, which honestly made my mornings so much better after long days wandering around the cobblestones. And speaking of those cobblestones – your feet will thank you for having a comfortable place to collapse at the end of the day. The bed is proper comfortable, not one of those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you feeling like you wrestled with a board all night. The whole place has this warm, lived-in feeling without being cluttered or overly themed (you know how some rentals go overboard with “local character”).
What really sold me on this place though was how it sits in Old Town without feeling like you’re living in a museum. You’ve got Wawel Castle basically down the street, and the Jewish Quarter is an easy walk when you want incredible food – I’m talking about places like Hamsa or Klezmer Hof that the tour groups haven’t completely discovered yet. But here’s some practical stuff: the building entrance is a bit tricky to find the first time (it’s one of those typical Krakow courtyards), so don’t panic if you’re wandering around with your luggage looking lost. The host was really responsive though – answered my slightly panicked “I can’t find the door” message within minutes. Parking isn’t included, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway. The trams run right nearby if you need to get to the train station, and everything else worth seeing is walkable. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, so I can’t speak to summer crowds, but the neighborhood had that perfect balance of lively cafes and quiet residential streets. For the price point and that 9.5 rating, it absolutely delivers – sometimes those high ratings feel inflated, but this one’s earned.

Great place in Krakow! – Mark from Netherlands – August 14, 2025 (10/10)
Very nice apartment in the best neighbourhood of Krakow to spend a couple of days. Close to Old Town but not as busy. The apartment was great. Very clean, spacious and with a parking under the building. Everything you need was available and it is close to best restaurants and bars Krakow has to offer. Highly recommended!

Very nice and safe location. The apartment building is new and clean. Parking is directly under the house. The apartment is equipped with everything you expect in this category. It's such a nice standard.
Exceptional – Andriy from Belgium – May 28, 2025 (10/10)
Very nice apartment. Recommend.
Fabulous area , easy access , good instructions – Cooke from Ireland – May 6, 2025 (10/10)
Spotless clean , beautiful decor , nice touches with condiments, water, converter charger etc
What could be improved: A balcony would have been perfect but other than than that I didn’t like anythingAmazing and modern apartment in the best location of Krakow. – Maria from Austria – April 21, 2025 (9/10)
The modern design, the convenience of the location, the safety of the apartment, the cleanliness, the accessibility to the apartment and the fact that there was an iron, a washing machine, a dishwasher etc which we did not use but they are important!
What could be improved: Some standard cosmetic products were missing like a bar of soap and a hair conditioner. We had only the hair and body washes which were small and we were using those for our hands as well so we had to buy more ourselves. Also the water temperature in the shower is weirdly adjusted since 80% of the range is cold water and only the last 20% can be regulated. Of course all these are minor. What was a bit more annoying was the fact that the owners did not respond to our questions on booking before our stay for many days. Sebastian though was very helpful and friendly after our arrival.Great place to stay! I recommend it wholeheartedly! – Vonceil from United States – April 15, 2025 (10/10)
The location was perfect! Close to everything! The host was very attentive and left clear directions! Super clean apartment!
Bright and airy appartment.Would definitely recommend. – Dave from United Kingdom – April 4, 2025 (9/10)
spacious and bright. Great location. Good back route to Town. Excellent communication with Sebastian.
Exceptional – Paula-cristina from Romania – March 26, 2025 (10/10)
A very nicely decorated apartment, i loved that it was full of natural light.
It is fully equipped with all the necessary stuff, the living room has a huge and comfy sofa. There is also a balcony where you can have your morning coffee with a view of Vistula river.
It is quite close to the city center – we used to just walk over there. There are also a lot of restaurants nearby.
The area is very safe – there is a 24h doorman on the ground floor and you cannot enter the building without the access key. The underground parking is also great.Fabulous apartment! – Anna from United Kingdom – March 12, 2025 (9/10)
Truly gorgeous apartment in a great location- it’s located just a few steps away from the Vistula river (think morning runs or evening strolls) and the bustling Kazimierz. Would rent again next time I’m in Krakow.
What could be improved: Everything was awesome apart from the bedding (hence not 10/10) – the quality of linens was not great, and lumpy pillows were somewhat in a stark contrast to the rest of the apartment. But I’m nitpicking here 😉Excellent apartment, lovely decor , good host and great location . – Trevor from United Kingdom – March 6, 2025 (9/10)
Great location, right in the heart of the Jewish Quarter , with a plethora of good restaurants and bars on the doorstep.
Interesting and bohemian area with plenty to see and do. Ghetto Heroes Square and Schindler Factory Museum, 15 minutes walking distance . Within walking distance to the old town about 20 minutes away . Good transport links to other interesting places to visit.
The apartment is modern with a high decor specification. Very comfortable and relaxing to be in . Contained all amenities that one could want, lovely bathroom including toiletries and well equipped kitchen with tea and coffee provided. Bed very comfortable. Exceptionally clean throughout.
Duty Concierge available :The Concierge who was on duty on the evening that we arrived and on March 1st was a really lovely welcoming and friendly chap.
Sebastien the owner who was charming , dropped by to check that we had everything that we needed and asked if there was anything else we wanted .
The apartment block clearly has a a lot of residents for whom it is their primary residence. When meeting them in passing in lifts and hallways , they were friendly .
We booked this apartment on the recommendation of our son, who had stayed there 18 months previously, so we thought it would be good. We were not disappointed.
What could be improved: Nothing
