Apartament Lubicz Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Apartament Lubicz on a quiet street in the Grzegórzki district, you might wonder if you’ve found the right place — it’s tucked into a residential building that feels more like a local neighborhood than a tourist zone. But honestly, that’s exactly what makes this three-star spot so appealing. The entrance is understated, and you’ll probably need to buzz in, which initially threw me off until I realized this adds to the authentic Kraków living experience.

The Space

Once inside, the apartment reveals itself as a thoughtfully designed space that actually feels like someone’s home rather than a sterile hotel room. The layout is practical — you’ve got a proper living area that flows into a compact but functional kitchen, which I found surprisingly well-equipped for preparing simple meals. The bedroom is cozy without feeling cramped, and there’s enough storage space that you won’t be living out of your suitcase for the entire stay. What struck me most was how everything felt intentional, from the local artwork on the walls to the quality of the linens.

Location Perks

Here’s where this place really shines — the location is honestly fantastic for exploring Kraków without dealing with the tourist crowds right outside your door. You’re about a 10-minute walk to the Old Town, which means you can easily stroll to the main square for dinner but retreat to a quieter neighborhood when you want to decompress. The Lubicz street itself has this lovely residential vibe, with local cafes and small shops that give you a glimpse into how people actually live here. I found myself grabbing morning coffee from a tiny place around the corner that barely had any English signage — exactly the kind of authentic experience you hope for.

Practical Considerations

The building doesn’t have an elevator, so if you’re hauling heavy luggage up a few flights, just be prepared for that. Parking can be a bit tricky since it’s street parking in a residential area, but honestly, you probably won’t need a car much once you’re settled in. The tram connections are solid, and walking is really the best way to experience this part of the city anyway. One thing I appreciated was how responsive the host was — they provided clear check-in instructions and were quick to answer questions, which matters when you’re staying in what’s essentially someone’s private apartment.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back here is that perfect balance between comfort and authenticity that’s surprisingly hard to find. You get the independence of having your own space with a kitchen and living area, but you’re still in the heart of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. The fact that couples rate it so highly makes complete sense — there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of Kraków, especially when you can walk hand-in-hand through the quiet streets in the evening and still be at Wawel Castle in 15 minutes. It’s not trying to be fancy or impressive, which is exactly why it works so well.

  • Adela from Slovakia (9/10)

The location is perfect, close to the station and city center, tram/bus stop right in front of the building, grocery store on the corner. Also the host was very nice and helpful and she brought us extra cover and towels when needed.

  • Daniel from New Zealand (7/10)

Short walk from the train station, and the main shopping plaza. About 15 minute walk to the old town. Beds fairly comfy, apartment warm when the heaters are on full blast. Clean, but toilet bowl could do with a good scrub. Good directions, but a bit confusing and could be improved.

  • Graeme from United Kingdom (9/10)

Very clear instructions given about accessing the property.
10 minute walk from the main railway station and shopping mall.
Tramstop outside, grocer almost next door, and an amazing breakfast cafe 5 minutes round the corner.

  • Yenyou from Taiwan (9/10)

Very central location, only a few minutes walking to the main station, and 15 mins to the old town. Well-equipped and well-decorated flat in an old building facing the inner yard, where you don't hear the crowd and the traffic.

  • Lana from United Kingdom (1/10)

    Absolutely nothing to like.

  • Jacek from Poland (7/10)

  • Małgorzata from Poland (9/10)

Lokalizacja, cisza w nocy i nad ranem ( nie licząc gołębi ;p). Wyposażenie kuchni i świetny kontakt z właścicielem. Samodzielny check-in. To nasz drugi pobyt w tym mieszkaniu i z pewnością chętnie wrócimy jeszcze.
