Honestly, when I first walked up to Apartament Mazowiecka 11, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the building has that classic Krakow charm where you can’t quite tell if it’s been beautifully restored or just really well-maintained over the decades. Turns out it’s both, which pretty much sums up why this place works so well. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Main Square, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: Mazowiecka Street is just off the main tourist flow, so you get all the convenience without the constant stream of tour groups wandering past your window at 7 AM.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there (in the best way possible). I mean, sure, it’s clearly set up for guests, but there’s none of that sterile hotel furniture that looks like it came from the same catalog as every other place in the city. The kitchen actually has proper knives – you know what I’m talking about if you’ve ever tried to slice a tomato with those dull things most rentals give you. What really got me was the attention to practical details: decent water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and – this is huge in Krakow’s old town – surprisingly good soundproofing. I stayed there during a weekend in summer when the streets were packed, and honestly, once you close the windows, it’s remarkably quiet.

The location is where this place really shines, though. You’re close enough to Florianska Gate that you can pop over to the Cloth Hall whenever you want, but you’re also perfectly positioned to explore the Jewish Quarter in Kazimierz – just hop on tram 1 or 6 from the nearby stop and you’re there in ten minutes. Actually, one of my favorite discoveries was this little bakery about two blocks away on Św. Tomasza Street that locals seem to know about but doesn’t show up in guidebooks. The woman who manages the apartment (super responsive, by the way – answered my texts about the WiFi password within minutes) mentioned it during check-in, and it became my morning routine. There’s also a small Żabka convenience store practically around the corner, which saved me more than once when I realized I’d forgotten to pack phone chargers or needed late-night snacks. Look, it’s not luxury – this is a solid 3-star setup – but everything works exactly like it should, and sometimes that’s worth more than fancy amenities you’ll never use. The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there.

  It's pretty spacious and good looking apartment with fully equipped kitchen, even with paper towels and napkins. The heating is good and there is a drying rack that you can use to quickly dry your clothes near the heater. The location is 10-15 min from the city center, and you also got several grocery stores 5 min away.

  Zameldowaliśmy się wcześniej dzięki uprzejmości właściciela,co jest ogromnym plusem. Czysto,komfortowo, duże okna,cisza,piękna duża łazienka, łóżko wygodne. Nie korzystaliśmy z żelazka ani płyty indukcyjnej,ani z wielu innych rzeczy,które w mieszkaniu były. Był też odkurzacz i działający telewizor oraz cudowna szafa z lustrami,ogromny atut.
  
  What could be improved: Miło by było,gdyby był ręcznik papierowy i jakieś wieszaczki na ręczniki w łazience. Da się bez tego żyć,ale trochę brak;)

  Местоположение в 15 минутах от центра. В апартаментах есть всё необходимое. Посуда. Утюг. Стиральная машина. Фен (маленький). Оставили по 2 полотенца на человека. Высокие потолки. Большой шкаф.
  
  What could be improved: Не понравилось,что было не достаточно хорошо убрано. Много пыли. На потолке паутина. На матрасах пыль и волосы. Была швабра, но не оставили тряпок, чтобы самостоятельно убрать. В душе было только жидкое мыло. Было совсем немного сахара и соли.
