Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Apartament Vistula? The location is absolutely perfect, but not in that touristy “convenient to everything” way that usually means you’re stuck in a noisy mess. This place sits right on Plac Na Groblach, which honestly sounds more intimidating than it is – it’s this quiet little square that most tourists completely miss, even though you’re literally a three-minute walk from the main market square. I mean, you can actually hear the trumpeter from St. Mary’s Basilica if you crack the windows, but you’re far enough away that you won’t get woken up by drunk backpackers at 2 AM.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish cousin decided to rent out their place while traveling – it’s got that lived-in comfort without being cluttered or overly personal. The kitchen is actually functional (shocking, I know), not one of those sad hotel kitchenettes with a broken mini-fridge and no real plates. I ended up making breakfast most mornings because there’s a small grocery store literally across the street, and honestly, sitting at their little dining table with fresh bread and coffee while looking out at the medieval buildings… well, it beats fighting for a table at some overpriced café. The WiFi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to upload photos or do any work – something you can’t always count on in these historic buildings where the walls are probably three feet thick.

What really sold me on this place was the tiny details that show someone actually cares. The shower has proper water pressure (trust me, this is not a given in Krakow’s Old Town), there are extra blankets that don’t smell musty, and they’ve got blackout curtains that actually work. Plus, the building entrance is discrete – no tacky hotel signage or tour groups clogging up the lobby because, well, there isn’t really a lobby. You get a code, you walk up to the second floor, and you’re home. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’re there for a day or two. It’s not fancy in a showy way, but everything just… works. And honestly, for the price point in this part of the city, that’s pretty remarkable. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I was staying more than just a weekend – it’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in and feel like you’re living in Krakow instead of just passing through.

  • Perfect apartment for a family in great location. – Anastasiya from Denmark – June 10, 2025 (10/10)

Wonderful location within walking distance of all major sights, great accommodating host, very spacious apartment with high ceilings which makes it feel extra spacious, good WiFi, 2 bathrooms. Well stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, etc.

What could be improved: We didn’t find extra bedding (pillow, blanket, etc) for the sleeper sofa in the living room. Maybe miscommunication on our side that we needed to use that bed as well.

  • Krakow 25 – Teresa from United Kingdom – May 25, 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: As you enter the main building there is an unpleasant stench but once in the apartment you can’t smell it

  • Fine apartment – Jack from Netherlands – April 28, 2025 (8/10)

Great location close to the centre.
    Well equiped kitchen. Good WiFi

What could be improved: The smell in the entry hall ! (Not in the apartment)
The curtains cannot close completely in the bedrooms. Privicy is allright but it is pretty light in the morning..

Location close enough to main square that the walk wasn’t bad but far enough away that it was quiet on a night. Fantastic apartment.

    What could be improved: nothing.

  • Krakow near city center – Andrej from Slovakia – February 19, 2024 (9/10)

Best appartment for group of 6 friends or family. We like the big rooms. Nice and calm district next to Wawel castle.

What could be improved: You need to pay for parking garage.
The entrance of the building smell horrible.

  • Nice big apartment – Olha from Ukraine – November 6, 2023 (8/10)

Very nice apartment near the historic center. Furnished with all necessary, all the possible things you might need.
