Hotel Description

You know what really struck me about this place? The address says Świętego Sebastiana 16, but honestly, it feels more like you’re staying in someone’s carefully curated home rather than a typical apartment rental. I mean, when you’re walking up to building 106 on this quiet stretch of Sebastiana Street, you’re literally a three-minute stroll from the main square – but without all the chaos that comes with staying right on Floriańska or one of those tourist-heavy streets.

The apartment itself is actually quite impressive – I’ve stayed in plenty of Old Town places that feel cramped or dark (you know how these medieval buildings can be), but this one surprised me with how bright and airy it feels. The restoration work here was clearly done by someone who gets it – they kept the character of the building but didn’t go overboard with fake antiques or tourist kitsch. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup; it’s properly equipped if you want to grab ingredients from the Cloth Hall market and actually cook something decent. The bathroom’s modern without being sterile, and honestly, the water pressure is better than some four-star hotels I’ve stayed at in the city center. There’s this nice balance where you feel like you’re living in Krakow rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.

Location-wise, this is where the place really shines – and I don’t just mean because it’s in Old Town. Sebastiana Street is one of those spots where you get the best of both worlds: you’re close enough to everything that matters (the Barbican is practically around the corner, and you can hit Planty Park for morning runs), but the street itself stays relatively quiet, especially in the evenings. I noticed the tram connections are solid too – the Basztowa stop is right there if you need to get to Kazimierz or further out. During my stay, I could walk to that excellent pierogi place on Sławkowska in about two minutes, and the late-night żurek spot near St. Mary’s was an easy stumble home. The only minor thing I’d mention is that some weekend nights you’ll hear people coming back from the square, but it’s not the kind of noise that keeps you up – more like the distant hum of a city that’s actually alive. This isn’t one of those sterile vacation rentals where you feel disconnected from the place; you’re genuinely staying in one of Europe’s most beautiful medieval centers, and you feel it every time you step outside.

Hotels in Krakow offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this medieval masterpiece, with easy access to castles, churches, and traditional Polish experiences.
