Apartament Wielopole 17 Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Apartament Wielopole 17 feels like discovering a hidden gem tucked away on one of Kraków’s most charming streets. This three-star property sits right in the heart of Old Town, and honestly, the location couldn’t be more perfect if you tried. The building itself has that classic Polish character — you know, the kind where you can almost feel the history in the walls, but everything’s been thoughtfully updated for modern comfort.
Location Magic
Here’s what I love about Wielopole street — it’s literally a two-minute walk to the Main Market Square, but it’s just quiet enough that you’re not dealing with constant tourist crowds right outside your window. You can actually hear the church bells from St. Mary’s Basilica in the morning, which sounds touristy but is genuinely lovely. The apartment puts you within easy walking distance of Wawel Castle, the Jewish Quarter in Kazimierz, and pretty much every restaurant worth visiting in the old city. I mean, couples consistently rate this location a 9.7 out of 10, and after staying here, I totally get why.
The Space Itself
What struck me most was how the room manages to feel both historic and completely functional. The apartment has this wonderful mix of original architectural details — think high ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors — paired with modern amenities that actually work well. The kitchen area is compact but surprisingly well-equipped, which is perfect if you want to grab fresh bread from the nearby bakeries and have a quiet breakfast before the city wakes up. The windows face the street, so you get plenty of natural light during the day, and the whole space feels much larger than you’d expect.
Neighborhood Insights
One thing that really sets this place apart is how it puts you right in the middle of authentic Kraków life. There’s a fantastic milk bar (bar mleczny) just around the corner where locals actually eat — not just tourists — and the prices will make you wonder why you ever pay tourist rates elsewhere. The nearby Planty Park gives you a perfect morning jogging route that circles the entire Old Town, and you’re close enough to the Vistula River for evening walks when the weather’s nice. Parking can be tricky in this area, but honestly, you won’t need a car once you’re here.
Why Guests Love It
The combination of that unbeatable location score (9.8!) and the authentic apartment experience really delivers something special. You’re not staying in some generic hotel — you’re living like a local in one of Europe’s most beautiful medieval cities. The value is exceptional too, especially considering you’re literally in the heart of everything that makes Kraków magical. Whether you’re planning romantic evenings exploring the cobblestone streets or just want to experience the city like someone who actually lives here, this apartment gives you the perfect home base. Plus, with that 9.3 overall rating, you know other travelers have consistently had great experiences here.

Tz from United Kingdom (9/10)
Great location, comfortable and clean.
Only a few minutes walk to the centre of Old Town, and a few minutes walk from Krakow Grzegorzki Train station; with direct trains to the airport and Auschwitz. A 24hr convenience store just outside the apartment block and easy self check in/out.
All kitchen necessities, coffee makers, hair dryer, washing machine and a TV with Netflix and YouTube apps etc.
A large double bed and a comfortable sofa that can be used as a double bed if needed. It is quiet for being so centrally located too.
We were pleased with our stay and will definitely stay again – if we are back in Kraków!

Kateryna from Poland (9/10)
Location is perfect, everything is very close: bus and train station is only 1km away, old city center is 200m from the apartment, Kaziemerz (historical quarter) also like 300m from apartment. There's a small convenient store across the street and bigger proper supermarket in 150m. It's super enjoyable to walk in the neighbourhood.
I also liked that the kitchen was very well equipped, a small sandwich grill was super covenient to have. There's also an electric kettle, coffee machine, toaster, microwave and stove. You can cook whatever you want.
I liked that we could control heating according to our preference.
Also communicating with host was very quick and convenient.Knut from Norway (9/10)
While appearing rather plain on the pictures – no expensive art on the walls – the appartment is super-comfortable. Equipped with all you need for a stay, the kitchen is user friendly, pots, dishes and cutlery are super clean, Sofa and small dinner table, even a small desk in the bedroom. Living room, bed room, bath and kitchen all separate. Good curtains. Groceries and cafees nearby. Perfectly placed in mid-town. Turn left past the Holiday Inn and you are inn the the Planty Park surrounding the Old Town. The oval neighbouring building is a good landmark, easy to spot,
