Apartamenty Czapskich Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Apartamenty Czapskich, you immediately understand why this three-star property scores so incredibly well with guests. The building sits right on Czapskich street in Kraków’s Old Town, and I mean really in the heart of things — you’re literally surrounded by centuries of history. The entrance has that understated Polish elegance that doesn’t try too hard, which honestly feels refreshing after seeing so many over-designed hotel lobbies. The location puts you steps away from major attractions and the vibrant city center.
Location & Neighborhood
This location is absolutely unbeatable, and the 9.8 location score proves it. You’re a two-minute walk from the Main Market Square, which means you can pop out for morning coffee at one of those tiny cafés locals actually use, then be back before most tourists even start their day. The Royal Castle is practically next door, and Wawel Hill is close enough that you’ll find yourself wandering over there multiple times during your stay. What I love most is that you’re in the thick of Old Town but on a quieter street — you get all the atmosphere without the constant tour group noise.
The Apartments
The rooms here are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge thrown in. Each unit feels like someone’s carefully curated city flat, with high ceilings and windows that actually open (you know how rare that’s becoming). The beds are genuinely comfortable — and I’m usually pretty picky about mattresses when I travel. There’s real kitchen space if you want to grab ingredients from the nearby Cloth Hall market, though honestly, with Kraków’s restaurant scene right outside your door, you might not use it much.
Breakfast Experience
The breakfast setup impressed me more than I expected for a three-star place. They’ve got everything covered — continental options, full English breakfast, and they actually do proper vegetarian and vegan choices (not just sad fruit and toast). The gluten-free options are thoughtful too, which matters if you’re traveling with dietary restrictions. What’s clever is the breakfast-to-go option — perfect for those mornings when you want to catch the early light at Wawel Castle or beat the crowds to St. Mary’s Basilica.
Why Guests Love It
Couples absolutely adore this place, rating the location 9.8 for romantic getaways, and I can see why. There’s something magical about stepping out your door and being immediately immersed in one of Europe’s most beautiful medieval cities. The combination of authentic Polish hospitality, genuinely comfortable accommodations, and that unbeatable Old Town address creates exactly what you want from a Kraków stay. You’re not just visiting the city — you’re actually living in it for a few days, which makes all the difference when you’re exploring somewhere as special as this. Parking is available nearby for guests with vehicles.

The owner was very helpful. He was ready in the very early morning because I arrived in Krakow at 06:30am. He also helped us to bring our luggage to the second floor. The location is very good. It’s close to the old town and it’s easy to find asian restaurant around the apartment. I recommend this apartment to everybody who wants to go to Krakow
