Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Apartamenty Kajzer on Limanowskiego Street, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. The building’s got that understated Polish charm, you know what I mean? But step inside and it’s actually quite impressive. These aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms – they’re proper apartments with real kitchens where you can actually cook something decent instead of surviving on minibar snacks and overpriced room service. The Podgórze district isn’t where most tourists end up (they’re all cramming into the Old Town), but honestly? That’s exactly why I liked staying here.
What really sold me on this place was how it sits right in the sweet spot between authentic Krakow life and tourist accessibility. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to Wawel Castle – I mean, you can literally see it from some of the windows – but you’re also surrounded by actual Polish bakeries and that amazing pierogi place on the corner that locals actually go to. The tram connections are solid too, though I ended up walking most places because the area’s just pleasant to stroll through. The apartments themselves feel like someone’s stylish flat that they’re letting you borrow. Real coffee makers (not those pod things), decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out during video calls, and bathrooms with proper water pressure – honestly, it’s the small things that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights.
The staff actually knows the neighborhood, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. When I asked about finding good żurek nearby, the guy at reception didn’t just point me to the nearest tourist trap – he gave me directions to this tiny spot two blocks over where the soup was incredible and cost half what I’d pay near the main square. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but there’s usually something within a block or two if you’re patient. The only real downside? Well, it’s popular with business travelers, so sometimes the common areas feel a bit serious during weekday evenings. But honestly, for the location, the space you get, and that 8.6 rating that feels completely deserved, Apartamenty Kajzer is the kind of place I’d book again without hesitation. It’s Krakow without the tourist markup, in a neighborhood that feels real but isn’t inconvenient.

Very Good – Kalin from Bulgaria – July 17, 2024 (8/10)
Location is good – near the center, tram and train station. There is a small garden where you can seat. There is an air conditioner. It's fine if you plan to use it only to sleep.
What could be improved: You have to call the host to get the code for the room and its number instead of getting it by message. It's an ex-hotel and the room was small. It was located at the top of the building with windows above you and because there was a thunderstorm in the night it was very noisy and hard to sleep.Highly recommend to stay. – Tonywongsk from Hong Kong – July 8, 2024 (9/10)
The host Nelly did a excellent job to welcome us onboard. The facilites and its location are excellent.

Perfect apartment for a good price. Very confortable beds, 3 pillows for each person, a small terrace with 2 chairs and a table, a well equipped kitchen, everything very clean. You can take a tram to the city center or walk some 10 minutes to the Schindler's museum. Shops and restaurants very close by.
Hotel itself is a complete package of facilities for customers.. – Usman from Denmark – April 24, 2024 (9/10)
The room had everything which one could ask for. Everything was very neat and clean. Bathroom was also very nice and clean. The lobby at reception area with welcoming sweets was a kind gesture.
What could be improved: It would have been more nice if there is a holder or any tray to put soap and shampoos inside while taking shower.Exceptional – Vikash from India – April 22, 2024 (10/10)
