This three-star property sits in a beautifully restored building that feels authentically Kraków, with those thick stone walls and arched doorways that remind you this city has been around for centuries. The entrance is understated but welcoming, and honestly, the location more than makes up for any lack of flashy lobby amenities.

The Heart of Old Town

You know what’s brilliant about staying at Apartamenty L5? You can roll out of bed and be at St. Mary’s Basilica in about two minutes flat. The Royal Route to Wawel Castle is practically your backyard, and those narrow cobblestone streets that tourists spend hours trying to find — well, they’re right outside your door. I loved being able to duck back to the apartment between sightseeing sessions, especially since Old Town can get pretty crowded during peak hours. The Cloth Hall, Florian Gate, all those essential Kraków spots are so close you’ll probably walk past them multiple times without even trying.

Apartment Living

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious for Old Town standards — you get proper living areas, not just a hotel room with a tiny desk. My unit had a well-equipped kitchenette (perfect for storing those late-night pierogi purchases from the market), and the bathroom was modern without losing the building’s historic character. The beds are comfortable enough, though the real win is having space to actually unpack and settle in. WiFi worked perfectly, which matters when you’re trying to research restaurant recommendations or book those Wieliczka Salt Mine tours everyone talks about.

Morning Fuel

Breakfast at Apartamenty L5 covers all the bases — they do continental, Italian options, and actually decent vegetarian and vegan choices, which isn’t always a given in Poland. The breakfast-to-go option is clutch if you’re catching an early train or want to picnic in Planty Park. I appreciated having real coffee (not just instant) and fresh pastries, plus they accommodate dietary restrictions without making a big fuss about it. It’s not elaborate, but it sets you up properly for a day of exploring without breaking the bank on café prices in the tourist zone.

Why Guests Love It

Honestly, couples seem to go crazy for this place — and I get why after staying here. There’s something romantic about having your own little apartment in medieval Kraków, plus you can grab wine from the nearby shops and enjoy it on your own terms. The fact that parking is available on-site is huge if you’re driving (trust me, finding parking in Old Town otherwise is a nightmare). For the price point of a three-star property, you’re getting an unbeatable location that five-star hotels charge premium rates for. It’s one of those places where the location does most of the heavy lifting, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want.

  The room was actually a bit bigger than I expected, there was good natural lightning, and amenities were quite useful. I can highlight that everything was spotless, and the bed was really comfortable. As a plus the staff was kind, polite and very welcoming. As per location, it's close to the center but distant enough from noisy night life.

  The apartment was perfect. Security is spot on!
  Lots of steps but it didn’t bother us at all, was quite fun and we laughed at how much it ached our legs (we are 35) Would definitely return here.

  Staff were lovely and welcoming and very helpful. The rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Comfy and large beds and excellant location. My daughter slept in the mezzanine bed and she loved having her own space. The bathroom was stocked with shower gel and lots of toilet rolls. The room had a hairdryer and kettle with tea and coffee supplied and a little fridge. The balcony opened to the street which was lovely too!
