Hotel Description
So I stumbled upon Apartamenty Winnicy Kresy II during what was honestly supposed to be a quick weekend in Krakow, and man – this place kind of spoiled me for regular hotels. It’s tucked away on Westerplatte street, which (and here’s something most tourists don’t realize) puts you literally in the heart of Old Town but on one of those quieter side streets where you’re not dealing with the constant parade of horse carriages and street musicians at 2 AM.
The apartment itself has that perfect balance of old Krakow charm without feeling like you’re staying in your grandmother’s dusty attic. You know what I mean? The ceilings are high enough to make the space feel grand, but someone clearly spent time making sure everything actually works – the shower has proper water pressure, the wifi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the kitchen has real pots and pans, not those sad little things most places give you. I actually ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because there’s a small grocery store just around the corner on Floriańska, and honestly, sitting there with coffee while watching the early morning light hit those medieval buildings… well, it beats fighting for a table at another overpriced café. The windows are thick enough that street noise isn’t really an issue, which surprised me given how central everything is.
What really gets me about this place is how it nails that local living vibe without sacrificing convenience. You’re maybe a three-minute walk to the Main Square – I timed it because I’m weird like that – but you’re also close enough to those little streets where actual Krakovians go about their daily business. There’s this tiny bar called Pod Baranem just down the street that serves the best pierogi I had during my entire stay, and I guarantee most tourists never find it. The building itself has character (translation: the stairs creak a bit and the hallways have that old European apartment feel), but everything inside the unit feels updated and thoughtfully designed. Plus, and this is huge if you’re planning to explore beyond the tourist trail, you’re perfectly positioned to walk to Kazimierz or even venture toward the river without needing to navigate back through the most crowded parts of the old city. I ended up extending my stay by two nights, which should tell you something – especially since I’m usually the type who gets antsy staying anywhere too long.

Great location , had a fabulous stayExceptional – Anastasiia from Ukraine – February 9, 2025 (10/10)
The location is fantastic, close to both the train station and the old town. We also loved that the apartment is quiet, located in a peaceful courtyard. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. Additionally, it's great that there are two beds and a separate bedroom, providing space and privacy for 3-4 people. The apartment is cozy, beautifully decorated with new furniture, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

It’s my second time. So I like everything. Even the candles which we used during our first visit, were renewed 😉 perfect location, could be no better, extremely cozy with plenty space for stay and enough space to sleep well. Fully equipped and staffed with everything you might need for living.

What could be improved: Nothing reallyPerfect location for a modern apartment in an old building. – Virginia from Germany – October 23, 2023 (9/10)
Location was great. It was a quick walk to get to the main square. We loved that you could walk around the green park around the city. A modern apartment in an old building. Directions were easy to follow.
What could be improved: The bedroom downstairs had a bit of a mildew smell. I’m not sure if it was the room or bed or the comforter itself.
