So here’s the thing about Aparthotel Cracovia Residence – it’s one of those places that really gets the balance right between feeling like you have your own space and actually being in the thick of Old Town. I mean, you’re literally on Piłsudskiego, which honestly might not ring a bell if you’re first-time Krakow, but it’s basically this perfect little street that puts you close enough to everything without being right in the tourist chaos around the Main Square.

The aparthotel setup is actually pretty clever – you get these spacious rooms with kitchenettes that are way more functional than the usual hotel mini-fridges and sad coffee makers. I’m talking proper plates, decent-sized fridges, and stove tops that you’ll actually use if you hit up the little Żabka convenience store down the street or grab some pierogi from one of the nearby spots to heat up later (which, let’s be honest, sometimes you just want to eat good food in your pajamas). The decor is sort of modern-meets-traditional Polish – not trying too hard but definitely comfortable. You know what surprised me? How quiet it gets at night, even though you’re right in the city center. The windows are solid, and the building itself seems to buffer most of the street noise, though you’ll still hear some late-night revelers on weekends – but that’s just Krakow for you.

What really makes this place work is the location knowledge you start picking up. You’re about a seven-minute walk to Wawel Castle, which means you can actually beat the tour groups there in the morning if you’re an early riser. The Jewish Quarter in Kazimierz? Maybe fifteen minutes on foot, and you’ll pass through some of those gorgeous little side streets that most tourists miss entirely. Plus – and this is key if you’re staying more than a couple days – there’s a Carrefour Express literally around the corner, so you’re not stuck paying hotel minibar prices for water bottles. The staff actually knows their stuff too, not just the usual “here’s a tourist map” routine. They’ll tell you which tram to take to get to Nowa Huta if you’re into that brutalist architecture thing, or point you toward the better pierogi spots that aren’t completely overrun. Honestly, for a 4-star place with a 7.7 rating, it punches above its weight – especially if you’re the type of traveler who likes having a proper base to come back to rather than just a place to crash between sightseeing marathons.

  The apartment had a great location – just a short walk from the city center, so we didn’t need to use public transport at all. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet, which was a bonus. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and had beautiful high ceilings that gave it a very airy feel. Everything looked just like in the pictures. Another big plus was the paid parking right next to the building – super convenient if you’re arriving by car.
  
  What could be improved: One downside was the curtain – a corner had fallen down and, because of the high ceilings, it couldn’t be fixed during our stay. As a result, the window wasn’t fully covered, which affected both privacy and morning light. It wasn’t a huge problem, but it did make the stay slightly less comfortable.

  The location of the property was beautiful, basically you could say it was almost in the heart of the city! Close to everything a gorgeous 15-20 min walk to the major sight seeing areas, and overall close to everything that you would want too see in Krakow and to experience the city. To access the property you didn’t need to talk with anyone at the reception as they send a message to you with the pass codes to the doors and corridors and helpful access to each floor with an elevator.
  
  What could be improved: The light in the bathroom had a few complications at times but it wasn’t the biggest of problems, and that the big shower head needed a few repairing as the water didn’t pour properly through the holes but honestly nothing major nor anything that caused problems, overall I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

  Clean and very cheap, would definitely stay again! Didn't see any staff but didn't need them and was a number if we did.
  
  What could be improved: Only thing was when we arrived it took a while to get hold of someone to get room codes. There is 2 codes to get into room which is fine but abit long winded! But tbh that's not really worth a moan is it.
  My husband didn't like only having one pillow but for price I didn't think a moan was in order!!

  Great communication with the staff. Although we didn't meet anyone, they answered all questions before our arrival. We got vouchers for breakfast for nearby restaurant. Breakfasts were delicious. Room was clean, very spacious. Location is on ten minutes from centre.
  
  What could be improved: Just small thing. There were no shower gel in the bathroom. And just one chair in the room for two.

  Very big apartment, and very clean. The host was always attentive to whatever we needed, and usually gave a quick reaponse to all our demands.
  
  What could be improved: We felt a bit cold in the room. In the end we got a heater though, and that was great.
  Also, the towels looked old or overused.
