Aparthotel Cracow Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Aparthotel Cracow on Gazowa Street, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Krakow’s Old Town. The building sits quietly on this narrow cobblestone street, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better — you’re literally steps from the main square but tucked away from the tourist chaos. I mean, couples consistently rate the location nearly a 9 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. The three-star property doesn’t try to be flashy, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the entrance that makes you feel like you’ve discovered a local secret.

Location & Neighborhood

You know what’s brilliant about staying here? You can roll out of bed and be at the Cloth Hall in about three minutes on foot. The aparthotel sits in what locals actually consider the real heart of Krakow — not just tourist-speak, but genuinely central to everything that matters. Gazowa Street itself is this charming little thoroughfare where you’ll hear Polish conversations drifting from windows above, and there’s a fantastic pierogi place just around the corner that most guidebooks miss entirely. The location score of 9.0 isn’t just numbers — it reflects how you can walk to St. Mary’s Basilica, duck into cozy cafes on Florianska Street, or catch trams to Kazimierz without any hassle.

The Apartment Experience

What sets Aparthotel Cracow apart is the apartment-style setup that actually works for travelers. The rooms feel more like temporary homes than hotel boxes, with kitchenettes that are genuinely useful if you want to grab fresh bread from the morning market and make coffee your way. The furnishings strike that sweet spot between functional and comfortable — nothing too fancy, but everything you need is there and works properly. I particularly appreciated having space to spread out after long days exploring the city, and the windows open onto views of Old Town rooftops that remind you exactly where you are.

Daily Life & Practical Details

The staff here knows Krakow inside and out, which becomes invaluable when you’re trying to figure out whether to visit Wawel Castle in the morning or afternoon (morning, by the way — fewer crowds). They’re not hovering, but when you need restaurant recommendations or help navigating the tram system, they offer advice that feels genuine rather than scripted. The aparthotel doesn’t have a traditional breakfast setup, but honestly, being in the Old Town means you’re surrounded by bakeries and cafes where locals actually eat — which is half the fun of staying somewhere this central.

Why Guests Love It

There’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on location and comfort without trying to oversell itself. Aparthotel Cracow delivers exactly what matters most in Krakow — you’re in the thick of things but not overwhelmed by tourist machinery. The 8.3 rating reflects guests who appreciate being able to experience the city like temporary residents rather than passing visitors. Whether you’re planning romantic evenings strolling the illuminated square or want easy access to day trips to Wieliczka Salt Mine, this spot gives you the perfect home base without the premium prices of fancier hotels just blocks away.

To book hotel in Krakow for the Christmas market season, travelers reserve early to pair Main Square strolls with evenings in the Kazimierz district.

  • Ewa from Cyprus (8/10)

  • Tetyana from Ukraine (7/10)

The location is fantastic, and the host is incredibly helpful! There was a mix-up with my booking, so I had to stay in a different room for the first few days, but the host sorted everything out for me. I really liked the bed and the bathroom; they were cozy and pleasant. The building itself is beautiful. The first room I stayed in had Netflix and a new TV, which was great. Plus, the kitchenette had a coffeemaker, which was a nice touch. The window was truly beautiful, with a picturesque view that made it my favorite spot in the mornings.

The location is also great for sightseeing, with many attractions just a short walk away. However, be prepared for some noise, especially when there are concerts or events nearby. I didn't mind it and slept soundly, but for someone who is a light sleeper, it might be a downside.

  • O from Ireland (9/10)

  • Krisha from United States (9/10)

The property was perfectly located!!! And yet the neighborhood and building were peaceful and it was easy to sleep and relax. The decoration was nice and stylish and the space had a view of the tram museum next door. The shower was also great and had amenities like some nice shampoo and body wash. The building itself is also lovely and had good vibes. Paulina was kind and communicative to ensure our stay went smoothly.

  • Diana from Ukraine (9/10)

the location, the condition of the apartment, there was a shared small kitchen for two apartments, very close to the center or it was the center itself
