You know what really surprised me about Aparthotel Miodowa 25? It’s one of those places that completely flies under the radar despite being absolutely solid. I mean, when I first walked up to the building on Miodowa Street, I honestly wasn’t expecting much – it looks pretty unassuming from the outside, just another converted historic building in Warsaw’s Old Town area. But step inside and you immediately get why this place has a 9.2 rating.

The thing about staying here is that you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Royal Castle and all the main Old Town attractions, but you’re tucked away on this quieter side street where you actually get some peace at night. I stayed here twice last year (once in spring, once in autumn) and both times I was struck by how the staff just… gets it. They’re not overly formal or trying too hard, they just sort of anticipate what you need. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – I had the corner unit on the third floor and honestly, the kitchen was better equipped than my place back home. Full-size fridge, decent stovetop, even a dishwasher which you don’t always get in these boutique places.

What I really appreciated was the attention to small details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building (shocking, I know), there’s proper blackout curtains so you can sleep past sunrise, and the beds are firm without being like concrete slabs. The bathrooms have those heated towel racks that seem fancy but are genuinely nice after a shower. Look, it’s not going to blow you away with marble lobbies or rooftop pools – it’s a 3-star place that knows exactly what it is. But sometimes that’s exactly what you want, especially in a city like Warsaw where you’re going to be out exploring most of the time anyway. The Old Town gets pretty touristy during peak summer months, but staying on Miodowa means you can duck back to your apartment when the crowds get overwhelming, grab a coffee from your own kitchen, and head back out refreshed. I’d definitely stay here again – it’s become my default Warsaw spot, actually.
