Look, I’ll be straight with you about Apartment Cracow – it’s one of those places that completely changed my perspective on staying in Podgórze. Most people rush straight to the Old Town and miss this entire side of Krakow, but honestly? You’re getting the better deal here on Celna Street.

The apartment itself sits in this beautifully restored building that – and I mean this – actually feels like someone’s home rather than a sterile hotel room. The moment you walk in, there’s this sense of space that you just don’t get in most Krakow accommodations. The kitchen is properly equipped (I’m talking real cooking space, not those tiny hotel kitchenettes), and the living area has these wonderful high ceilings that make everything feel airy. What really got me though was the morning light streaming through those large windows – you know how some places feel dark even during the day? This is the complete opposite.

Here’s what nobody tells you about this location: you’re actually perfectly positioned to explore Krakow like locals do. Podgórze has this authentic neighborhood vibe that the tourist-packed Kazimierz lost years ago, but you can still walk to the Jewish Quarter in about fifteen minutes. The tram connections are honestly better than most central locations – line 6 and 13 run frequently right nearby, and you’ll reach the Main Square faster than if you were walking from many “centrally located” hotels. Plus, parking here is actually manageable (good luck with that in the Old Town). The area gets quiet in the evenings, which means you’ll actually sleep well, but there’s this excellent little restaurant called Zazie just around the corner that serves the kind of food locals argue about.

I spent quite a bit of time on that small balcony with my morning coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up – it’s that kind of place where you feel connected to the city rather than floating above it in some tourist bubble. The building itself has character without being run-down, and you can tell someone put real thought into the renovation. The 8.9 rating makes perfect sense when you experience it – everything works properly, it’s spotlessly clean, but more importantly, it has personality. You’re not just getting a bed for the night; you’re getting a proper base to explore Krakow from. And honestly, after staying in my share of cramped Old Town accommodations where you pay premium prices to hear drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM, this felt like discovering a secret that other travelers haven’t caught onto yet.

  I like everything in the apartment. Value for money, spotlessly clean, and the owner is nice. The location is perfect too. There are convenience stores nearby and a Polish restaurant in the same block. I wish we could stay longer. It was a home, a way from home indeed.   It's a clean apartment which has everything a family will need for the stay. Whenever there was any problem the reply was wift and owner was more than willing to solve the problem.
  
  What could be improved: It will be nice to be informed about giving deposit (200pln) during the booking process or booking policy. At the same time communication is only conveient in Polish, so if you don't know Polish it will be very problematic if you need help from owner.

  The location was excellent with great view and the apartment was clean and spacious!
  
  What could be improved: 1. We only had a face towel and two hand towels. We asked for body towels twice and we never got them.
  2. We didn't have WiFi! We mentioned the issue and the owner told us if we want WiFi we have to stay at the apartment to wait for the technician!!!
  3. You have to pay a deposit of 200 PLN IN CASH which you do get back at the day of check out, but then you are stuck with a quite significant amount of money which you can't do anything with it as you are leaving the country anyway…
