Apartment Cracow Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Apartment Cracow on Celna Street, you immediately get that “local secret” feeling — this isn’t your typical tourist hotel, and that’s exactly what makes it special. The four-star property sits quietly in the Podgórze district, which honestly feels more authentic than staying right in the Old Town circus. I mean, you’re still incredibly close to everything that matters, but without the constant stream of tour groups outside your window. The building itself has that understated Polish elegance that doesn’t try too hard to impress.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — couples consistently rate the location a perfect 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. Podgórze has this wonderful residential vibe where you’ll see locals heading to work in the morning and families out for evening walks. You’re actually in one of Krakow’s top-rated areas (the location scores 9.1 out of 10), but it doesn’t feel touristy at all. The Jewish Quarter is just across the river, and you can walk to Wawel Castle in about 15 minutes. What’s really nice is that you’ll discover little cafes and restaurants that locals frequent — places you’d never find if you stayed in the obvious hotel zones.
The Apartment Experience
The rooms at Apartment Cracow feel more like staying in a well-appointed city flat than a traditional hotel, which is refreshing when you want to actually live in a place rather than just sleep there. Everything’s thoughtfully designed without being fussy — you know what I mean, functional but still stylish. The kitchenette setup is particularly clever if you want to grab fresh bread from the local bakery or pick up some Polish cheese from the market. It’s that kind of flexibility that makes longer stays feel natural, and even for just a few nights, having the space to spread out makes a real difference.
Practical Comforts
What strikes me most is how the little details are handled well without making a big show of it. The Wi-Fi actually works properly (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and the heating system keeps things comfortable during those chilly Krakow evenings. The soundproofing is solid too — important when you’re in a city center location but want to sleep peacefully. Honestly, it’s these unglamorous basics that often make or break a stay, and Apartment Cracow gets them right without fanfare.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.9 rating tells the real story here — this place consistently delivers what travelers actually want rather than what looks good in photos. You get the independence of an apartment with the reliability of a hotel, all in a neighborhood that feels genuinely Polish rather than like a theme park version of Krakow. Couples especially seem to appreciate having their own space while being perfectly positioned to explore the city on foot. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re living somewhere interesting rather than just visiting it, which is honestly what makes any trip more memorable.

What could be improved: Think bed needs upgradingA home a way from home. – Kristil from New Zealand – May 3, 2025 (10/10)
I like everything in the apartment. Value for money, spotlessly clean, and the owner is nice. The location is perfect too. There are convenience stores nearby and a Polish restaurant in the same block. I wish we could stay longer. It was a home, a way from home indeed. Highly recommended to anyone, especially with family.
What could be improved: None.Exceptional – Talantbek from Poland – January 4, 2025 (10/10)
We stayed in this apartment for 2 days. Everything was so cozy and comfortable. All needed facilities are provided. Apartment is clean, Lady is kind and sweet. I definitely reccomend to stay here.
Very Good – Ya from Taiwan – October 13, 2024 (8/10)
It's a clean apartment which has everything a family will need for the stay. Whenever there was any problem the reply was wift and owner was more than willing to solve the problem.
What could be improved: It will be nice to be informed about giving deposit (200pln) during the booking process or booking policy. At the same time communication is only conveient in Polish, so if you don't know Polish it will be very problematic if you need help from owner.Exceptional – Santa from Latvia – September 11, 2024 (10/10)
Excellent apartments, great location. Everything necessary for a vacation with children is available.

Very good location, nice view from the windows.
What could be improved: Parking is expensive, no dining table, and only 1 blanket for 2 people.Everything was great, I'm sure that we will choose this apartment for our next trip. – V from Ukraine – July 29, 2023 (10/10)
very friendly owners, clean apartment and great location
Wonderful – Vadym from Ukraine – December 29, 2022 (9/10)
I liked everything, thanks.
I would only change one thing
What could be improved: there are no blinds on the upper windows and it is light in the room in the morningFair – Anastasia from United Kingdom – September 17, 2022 (5/10)
The location was excellent with great view and the apartment was clean and spacious!
What could be improved: 1. We only had a face towel and two hand towels. We asked for body towels twice and we never got them.
2. We didn't have WiFi! We mentioned the issue and the owner told us if we want WiFi we have to stay at the apartment to wait for the technician!!!
3. You have to pay a deposit of 200 PLN IN CASH which you do get back at the day of check out, but then you are stuck with a quite significant amount of money which you can't do anything with it as you are leaving the country anyway…
