The apartment itself really surprised me – I mean, a perfect 10 rating sounds too good to be true, but after spending a few days there, I get it. The owners clearly put thought into the details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the little shops nearby (there’s this great deli just around the corner that locals hit up for pierogi), and the living space feels authentically Polish without being kitschy about it. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Karmelicka isn’t one of those party streets, so you can actually sleep even with the windows cracked open. The Wi-Fi was solid too, which honestly saved me since I had to jump on a few work calls.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in the neighborhood rather than just visiting it. I’d walk out in the morning and see the same shopkeepers opening up, grab coffee from this tiny place that doesn’t even have a sign, then wander over to the Cloth Hall or Wawel Castle when the mood struck. The tram stops are close enough that you can easily get to Kazimierz or the train station, but you probably won’t need them much since everything worth seeing is walkable. I will say, if you’re coming in summer, book early – this kind of authentic setup in the Old Town fills up fast, and for good reason. It’s one of those places that makes you feel like you actually experienced Krakow instead of just checking it off a list.
