Okay, so I’ve stayed at quite a few places in Krakow, and Apartment Krakow City-Arena honestly surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes you book a place based on reviews and photos, then show up wondering if you made the right call? This wasn’t one of those times. The moment I walked into this apartment on Stanisława Lema street, I got that immediate “oh, this works” feeling – everything just felt thoughtfully put together without being fussy about it.

The location is actually pretty brilliant, and I mean that in a way most tourists wouldn’t realize right away. You’re in Grzegórzki, which sounds intimidating if you don’t know Krakow, but it’s basically where locals live when they want to be close to everything without paying Old Town prices or dealing with Old Town crowds. The Tauron Arena is literally a few minutes walk (hence the name, obviously), and honestly, even if you’re not catching an event there, the whole area has this energy to it – lots of cafés that aren’t tourist traps, decent grocery stores, and you can actually hear yourself think. I stayed during a busy weekend in summer and never felt like I was fighting through crowds just to grab coffee in the morning.

What really got me was the attention to small stuff that matters when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The kitchen – and I mean a proper kitchen, not some hotel kitchenette situation – had everything I needed to make real meals, which saved me a fortune and honestly just felt good after days of restaurant food. The beds were the kind you actually sleep well in (you know how hit-or-miss that can be), and there’s proper blackout curtains, which is clutch if you’re dealing with jet lag or just like to sleep in. The whole place felt clean without that sterile hotel vibe – more like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste and actually cares about their guests being comfortable. The Wi-Fi was solid, the water pressure was great, and there’s this little balcony area where you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the neighborhood wake up.

Getting around from here is straightforward too – you’re close enough to walk into the main areas when you feel like it, but far enough out that you can escape the tourist bubble when you need to breathe. The tram connections are decent, and if you’re driving, parking isn’t the nightmare it can be closer to the center. I’ll be honest, the 9.8 rating seemed almost too good to be true when I booked, but after staying there? Yeah, I get it. It’s not trying to be fancy or Instagram-perfect, it’s just really, really good at being exactly what you need when you want to experience Krakow like you actually live there for a while.

Hotel in Krakow booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural festivals and medieval celebrations.

  The property was super spacious and modern, the beds were comfortable and the access was easy. We stayed here with four friends to visit a conference at Tauron Arena and for that it was perfect!
  I especially like that the little things like washing detergent for the washing machine and everything for the dishwasher was taken care of. Also to get a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate new years was very great!
  
  What could be improved: Sadly there was no shampoo but that’s only a little thing. Sadly also no vacuum provided which would’ve been nice since we stayed for 5 days.
