You know what caught me off guard about WAWELOFTS? The name makes it sound all fancy and corporate, but honestly, this place feels more like staying at your well-traveled friend’s apartment – if that friend happened to have really good taste and lived smack in the middle of Krakow’s old town. I mean, we’re talking about Krakowska Street here, which puts you maybe a ten-minute walk from the castle and basically everything else you came to see.

The apartment setup works better than I expected it would. Sure, it’s technically a 3-star place, but that 9.0 rating isn’t just people being generous – there’s something refreshingly honest about how they’ve done this. Instead of trying to be a hotel that pretends to be homey, they’ve actually created spaces that feel lived-in without being worn out. The kitchenette situation is legit too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying more than a couple nights. I actually ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because, well, you can walk to the market square for fresh stuff, and there’s something nice about having coffee in your pajamas instead of getting dressed for some hotel breakfast room.

What really sold me on the location – and why I’d probably book this again – is how it sits in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to stumble home from the bars around Plac Nowy (maybe fifteen minutes if you’re walking slowly), but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually sleep. The building itself has that old Krakow character without feeling like it’s falling apart, though I should mention the stairs if you’re traveling with heavy bags – it’s not exactly elevator territory. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too, none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby situation. They just sort of hand you the keys and let you figure it out, which I appreciated after a long travel day. Honestly, for what you pay versus what you get in this part of the city, especially during summer when everything else is either booked solid or crazy expensive, this place makes a lot of sense.

  Location was amazing for this ur 5 day stay. Unit had everything needed to cook for my family. Everyone stayed comfortably. There are plenty of grocery shops and restaurants located within walking distance. Great sofas to sit on. Big tv to watch family movies. Enough towels although maybe for guests staying longer than 3 days i suggest you have a second set available.

  This Apartment is fairly basic, but it is comfortable, and had everything we needed for a three night stay. The property is in Kazimierz, which is a great Neighbourhood with lots of Bars & Restaurants. There are also several Grocery Shops and Bakers very close by. Tram to the Old Town is a two minutes walk away and only takes a few minutes.
