You know what caught me off guard about Apartments Kremer? I was expecting another cramped Old Town rental, but stepping into this place on Kremerowska Street actually feels like walking into someone’s well-kept home rather than a typical tourist crash pad. The building itself is tucked away from the main tourist chaos – you’re literally a three-minute walk from the main square, but honestly, you’d never know it from how quiet things get at night.

The apartments have this lived-in quality that I really appreciated. I mean, sure, it’s clearly set up for travelers, but there’s actual personality here – proper kitchen equipment (not just a sad hot plate), decent-sized windows that let in real light, and furniture that doesn’t look like it came from a hotel supply catalog. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious too, which anyone who’s stayed in European city centers knows is basically winning the lottery. What really sold me though was the little details – good water pressure, blackout curtains that actually work, and WiFi that doesn’t cut out every time someone walks past the router.

Location-wise, this is where local knowledge really pays off. Kremerowska Street runs parallel to the more touristy areas, so you get all the benefits of being central without the constant stream of tour groups marching past your window at 7 AM. There’s a great little bakery called Staropolska just around the corner that most visitors never find – grab their poppy seed rolls if you’re there early enough. The apartment building sits right between two tram stops, and I found myself using the Stary Kleparz market trams more than walking everywhere, especially when hauling groceries back. Parking is… well, it’s Old Town Krakow, so park wherever you can find a spot and walk the last bit. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that “meet me at this random café with exact change” nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve actually stayed there; it’s one of those places that just works without any drama or unpleasant surprises. Honestly, I’d book it again without hesitation, especially during summer when having your own space and kitchen becomes invaluable.

  The apartment is in a residential area with good public transportation and within walking distance to the old town. It is very spacious and has everything we needed, in particular a washing machine, which was very useful.
  
  What could be improved: Just one thing: the beddings had a rather strong "damp" smell that didn't go away even after four nights. I expect it's not always like this here, maybe we were unlucky…
