The apartments themselves are pretty spacious, which was honestly my biggest surprise. You know how European accommodations can be… well, cozy. But these places give you room to actually spread out your stuff and not live out of a suitcase for your entire stay. The kitchenettes are basic but functional – I managed to make coffee every morning and even threw together some simple meals with groceries from the Żabka down the street. The Wi-Fi was solid too, which matters if you’re trying to figure out tram schedules or book tickets to Wieliczka Salt Mine (do that, by the way – totally worth the day trip).

Location-wise, you’re in a pretty authentic part of the city. It’s not right in the thick of the Old Town tourist madness, which actually turned out to be perfect. I could walk to the main square in about 15 minutes, but when I came back at night, the neighborhood was quiet and felt more like where actual people live. There’s a great milk bar called Bar Mleczny nearby where locals grab cheap, hearty Polish food – the pierogi there are better than half the touristy places charging three times as much. The building itself is typical communist-era architecture, so don’t expect Instagram-worthy exteriors, but the interiors have been updated enough that everything works properly. Check-in was straightforward, though the person at reception spoke limited English – not a huge deal, but brush up on your basic Polish phrases or have Google Translate ready. One thing to note: if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The trams run pretty regularly, and while it’s not overwhelming, you’ll definitely hear them. But honestly, after a day of walking around Kazimierz and climbing up to Wawel Castle, I was tired enough that it didn’t really matter. For the price point and the 7.8 rating, your expectations should be calibrated accordingly – this isn’t luxury, but it’s comfortable, practical, and gives you a real feel for living in Kraków rather than just visiting it.

  My family and I stayed in apartment on Florianska 16 (that apartment can be visible on the Booking's photo gallery – pictures #32, 33, 34, 37, 39-45). For those who are going to Krakow for the first time, this is an absolutely great location (walking distance to every landmark in the city). The apartment was nice, clean and spacious. Also, the hallway entrance to the apartment has a code, which means that no one else can enter the residency. The folks at the registration office were very nice (that office was located only a few doors down from our apartment). The apartment had an AC unit, which was really needed for that time of year.
