Apartments Sobieski&Soplica Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Apartments Sobieski&Soplica on Szczepańska Street, you immediately know you’ve hit the jackpot location-wise. I mean, you’re literally steps from the Main Market Square — I could hear the horse carriages clip-clopping by from my window. This three-star property sits in one of those beautiful historic buildings that makes Krakow‘s Old Town so magical, and honestly, the entrance feels like you’re stepping into someone’s elegant Polish home rather than a typical hotel.
The Heart of Old Town
You know what’s incredible about this spot? Everything worth seeing is within a two-minute walk. The Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica, all those charming cafés tucked into medieval cellars — it’s all right there. I actually found myself popping back to the apartment between sightseeing just because it was so easy. The street itself is quieter than the main tourist drags, but you’re still in the absolute center of everything. Couples seem to get this — they’ve rated the location a perfect 10, and after staying here, I totally understand why.
Your Home Away from Home
The apartments themselves feel authentically Polish but with all the modern touches you actually need. My room had this lovely mix of traditional wooden furniture and updated amenities that worked really well together. The kitchenette was surprisingly well-equipped — I ended up making coffee there every morning instead of hunting for cafés (though honestly, with Krakow’s coffee scene, that says something about how nice it was to just relax in the space). The windows are properly soundproofed too, which matters when you’re this close to the action.
Local Insights
Here’s something I discovered during my stay — the building’s history is fascinating, and you can actually feel it in the thick walls and high ceilings. The staff knows their stuff about the neighborhood too. They pointed me toward this little restaurant around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise, and it ended up being one of my best meals in Poland. There’s also a small grocery store literally next door, which came in handy for picking up Polish snacks and drinks to enjoy back in the apartment.
Why Guests Love It
Look, with a 9.3 rating and that incredible location score of 9.9, this place clearly delivers on what matters most — being right where you want to be without sacrificing comfort. The combination of authentic Polish character and practical amenities hits that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing real Krakow life, not just passing through as a tourist. Plus, having your own space with a kitchen means you can balance eating out at amazing Polish restaurants with quiet mornings making your own coffee while planning the day ahead. For the price point and location, it’s honestly hard to beat.
To book a hotel in Krakow during peak medieval festival season, travelers need early planning as this historic capital draws visitors eager to experience its UNESCO World Heritage old town and royal heritage.

Reviews of Apartments Sobieski&Soplica

Location was superb, just a few foot steps to the main square! Everything was at hand and also view of the square from the room. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Also close to train station, and tour pick ups. We stayed there for the nye celebrations, so it was easy to enter the apartment when the kids were tired or needed to use the bathroom.
