You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Art & Garden Residence – the name honestly sounds like half the boutique places these days. But this 4-star spot actually surprised me in the best way. The moment you walk through the entrance, there’s this immediate sense that someone really thought about the details here. The lobby has this perfect mix of curated art pieces (not the generic hotel stuff you usually see) and these gorgeous plants that actually look healthy and well-maintained. I mean, you can tell they’ve got someone who knows what they’re doing with the greenery because everything’s thriving, not just surviving.

What really got me was how the whole place feels like it’s designed by people who actually travel themselves. The rooms have these little touches that make you think “oh, someone gets it” – proper bedside lighting for reading, enough outlets in useful spots, and honestly one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in recently. The bathrooms are spacious without being wastefully huge, and they’ve got this rainfall shower that actually has decent water pressure. There’s art throughout that feels intentional rather than just thrown up to fill wall space, and the garden views from most rooms are genuinely relaxing to wake up to.

The staff here seems to know their stuff too, which isn’t always a given. Check-in was smooth – no waiting around while they figure out their system – and they were helpful without being overly chatty when you just want to get to your room. The whole vibe strikes this nice balance between professional and welcoming. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period and never felt like the place was overwhelmed or that service was suffering because of it. The common areas stay pretty peaceful even when there are people around, probably because the layout gives everyone enough space to spread out. With a 9 rating, you’d expect it to deliver, and it really does. It’s one of those places where you can tell the difference between genuine hospitality and going through the motions – and this definitely feels like the real deal.
