The lobby has these beautiful marble details and warm lighting that feels more like a boutique property than your typical chain hotel.

What really sold me on this place was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth (no waiting around while they figured out their computer system), and the front desk person actually gave me useful local tips without me having to ask. The rooms are well-maintained – not huge, but thoughtfully designed with good storage and a bathroom that’s been updated recently. I stayed on the fourth floor and it was surprisingly quiet, even though there’s clearly some street activity below. The AC worked perfectly, which honestly can be hit or miss at this price point.

Here’s the thing that bumped this place up to a 9.3 rating for me – it’s all about the details they get right. The WiFi is actually fast enough to work from your room, the housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and there’s this little coffee setup in the lobby that’s available 24/7 with decent espresso. Nothing groundbreaking, but when you’re traveling and just want things to work without drama, Avanti Palazzo delivers. The location puts you within walking distance of several great local restaurants (ask them about the family-run trattoria around the corner – seriously worth it), and you’re close enough to the main attractions without being right in the tourist chaos. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you’re looking for that sweet spot between comfort and value without any pretentious nonsense.
