You know what caught me off guard about Avium Old Town Apartments? How quiet it actually gets at night, even though you’re smack in the middle of everything historic and buzzing during the day. I mean, these old town locations can be tricky — sometimes you’re dealing with late-night revelers stumbling past your window until 3am, but somehow this place manages to give you that authentic old-world charm without the noise headaches.

The apartments themselves feel like someone’s stylish friend let you crash at their place for the week. Nothing feels overly hotel-ish or sterile — you’ve got actual kitchen setups where you can make proper coffee in the morning (thank god), and the furnishings have this lived-in comfort that makes you want to sprawl out with a book. The 4-star rating honestly feels about right; it’s not trying to be some luxury palace, but everything works well and looks good doing it. What impressed me most was how they’ve managed to blend modern conveniences into what are clearly old buildings — the WiFi actually works everywhere, the showers have decent pressure, and you’re not constantly bumping your head on weird architectural quirks like some old town places I’ve stayed.

Here’s the thing though — and this is where that 9.3 rating makes total sense — it’s the location knowledge that sets this place apart. The staff actually knows the neighborhood, not just the tourist highlights everyone Googles. They’ll tell you which bakery opens earliest (crucial info), where locals actually go for dinner instead of the tourist traps three blocks away, and honestly, which streets to avoid during certain hours if you’re not into crowds. You can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing, but more importantly, you can duck back to your apartment when the old town gets overwhelming — which it will, especially during peak season. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too; no lengthy presentations about amenities you’ll never use, just practical info about the neighborhood and how everything in your apartment works. It’s the kind of place where you start planning your next visit before you’ve even packed to leave.

  The location was great, so close to Old Town and all restaurants and tourist attractions. The apartment was nice and quiet within an apartment complex. Bed was super comfy and the room was very spacious. The team were able to set us up with transfers to and from the airport and we were able to keep our luggage with the throughout the day so we could go and explore. Highly recommend!

  Lovely apartment with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and easy. Within 10 min walking distance of the main square.
  Staff were very accommodation in slm requests. Spotlessly clean and really comfortable. We will e babk for another visit. Excellent value for money.

  Great location, very close to the centre of the old town, walking distance to a lot of attractions. Staff extremely helpful and organised a tour on our behalf. Held onto our luggage before apartment was ready and again after we booked out. Tea & coffee (instant, filtered & pod options) there for our use. Option of having breakfast delivered to our room each morning.

  The apartment is on Krupnicza street and is around a 5 minute walk into the old town. It is in a small courtyard just behind Starbucks. The apartment (no 16) is up 2 flights of stairs and is accesible through 2 electronic number pad locks, plus an actual key for the front door. The studio room has everything you need, is spacious, modern. very clean and the bed is really comfy. There is aircon, a safe, smart tv, fridge, washing machine and also provided tea, coffee, washing up liquid and powder for the washing machine. Excellent facilties. When having a query, my questions were answered very quickly and 'Sleep in Kraków' is open 7 days a week, which is also a bonus for a traveller. The majority of my queries were handled by Tetiana, who is a lovely young lady but have no doubt that everyone is great.
  One last thing I loved was the radio in the bathroom…. hope the neighbours didn't mind the karaoke, cat killing warble!!! Lmao.

  Very responsive host. The host was kind to arrange for an early check in. We came with Bolt from the airport and it was easily accessible. The host explained how to find the apartment and sent a picture via booking, but I didn't expect the apartment door to be from the outside, so you actually get in the building then there is door to the balcony that takes you to the apartment. I stayed in apartment 16. One tip, the door needs a gentle pull for the key to move in the lock. I didn't discover all of this on my own, I called the host and she came within 10 minutes and lead the way. The apartment was so comfortable and clean. The air conditioning unit was very efficient and it was a life saver in the hot weather (end of August). The bathroom and shower were nice, Body and hair shampoo available, hand and dish soap too. The hair dryer is small but works very well. We had enough towels & many pillows. the kitchen is well equipped, boiler, coffee machine, microwave and a toaster that was hidden in one of the cupboards, Tasty black tea bags, coffee and filters, salt & sugar. Glasses, mugs, 2 pots, and a pan, enough plates, spoons and forks and other utensils, the electric stove was very good. the fridge had ice, which we did not need but it was nice to see that the host though of everything. A dishwasher and a washing machine too. Dining table with 2 high chairs. Plenty of storage room if you want to take your clothes out of your bags. I recall some people complaining about bathroom smell, this was not an issue that the air conditioner couldn't solve within a minute if someone went to the toilet for number 2 😉 The apartment is very quiet, so you can sleep well.
  The location is excellent, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, bakeries and tram stops are less than a minute walk. The Old town historical center is about 5-10 minutes walking from the apartment. I was a bit hesitant because of the stairs and my mom's bad knees, but it worked!
