BD KRAKOW Apart Hotel Overview
You know what struck me first about BD KRAKOW Apart Hotel? It’s tucked away on this quiet little street called Kurniki, which honestly feels like you’ve stumbled into some secret corner of Old Town that the tour groups haven’t discovered yet. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the main square – you can actually hear the trumpet call from St. Mary’s Basilica if you open your windows – but somehow it feels completely removed from all that chaos. The building itself has this lovely renovated feel where they’ve kept the original character but added all the modern touches you actually need (decent WiFi, proper shower pressure, that sort of thing).
What I really appreciated was how it operates more like serviced apartments than a traditional hotel. Each room has a proper kitchenette, which honestly saved me a fortune because eating out in the main square every night gets expensive fast. The staff at reception – there’s this incredibly helpful woman who seems to know every restaurant owner in a five-block radius – they gave me these insider tips about where locals actually eat. Turns out there’s this fantastic pierogi place just around the corner on Grodzka that I would’ve walked right past otherwise. The rooms themselves are well… they’re not going to win any design awards, but they’re genuinely comfortable and surprisingly spacious for Old Town standards. I had enough room to spread out my stuff without feeling like I was living out of a suitcase, which you can’t say about most places in this area.
The location thing really can’t be overstated though – I kept forgetting I was staying in what’s essentially the heart of medieval Europe because the street is so peaceful. You’ll hear some church bells throughout the day (which I found charming, though light sleepers might want to pack earplugs), but none of that late-night restaurant noise that echoes through the main tourist streets. Walking to Wawel Castle takes maybe ten minutes if you stroll, and you can cut through these lovely side streets that feel like stepping back in time. The only minor downside – and this is pretty standard for Old Town – is that you’ll need to arrange parking separately if you’re driving. But honestly, once you’re there, you won’t want to use a car anyway. Everything worth seeing is walkable, and the trams are right there if you want to venture further out. For what you get – that perfect balance of being in the thick of things but having a quiet retreat to come back to – it’s genuinely solid value, especially considering how much you’d pay for a similar setup in Prague or Vienna.
Krakow’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Polish royal tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring historical tour services and authentic Polish hospitality.

Reviews of BD KRAKOW Apart Hotel
Good – Viktoria from Ukraine – July 27, 2025 (7/10)
The apartment is close to the railway station.
What could be improved: Wi-fi didn't work in my roomgreat location and very comfortable room – Seamus from United Kingdom – July 18, 2025 (8/10)
the location was perfect, near the station and to the old town
What could be improved: when it rained there was a constant drip sound from the courtyard outside my room. The TV had come out of its bracket and was hard to see on top of a wardrobe so I didn't tyI'd definitely recommend this place , that's worth it. – Shchehlova from Bulgaria – July 12, 2025 (9/10)
The location is super if you want to have all the sights at a walking distance. Also there is a train station and a bus station at 5 min walking.
A self check-in is a bonus if you value your time 😉.
The room has everything you need to feel comfortable, even all the kitchen stuff in a very good condition. We enjoyed having a microwave, a kettle, and a small fridge at our disposal. Actually the kitchen place is absolutely amazing. There's a lot of space for your luggage and clothes. But we didn't any air conditioner. If you travel in hot summer days, that might be a challenge.
What could be improved: The bed for two people was veeery small. We stayed 1 night only and it was ok. But staying there for a week without a proper sleeping place is nonsense. I am sure that could be easily fixed when talking with a host but we didn't need this for 1 night. Well, I believe I booked a room with 2 separate beds (already predicted such a situation when there's not enough space for 2 in a si called double bed), but still they allocated 1 double for us.
Another thing is that the door to the bathroom couldn't be easily closed, which causes some discomfort.Good – Vitalii from Denmark – August 14, 2025 (7/10)
The apartment is near the train station and it is very comfortable for a work trip. The blanket was warm.
What could be improved: It was cold at night, the heating was turned off. The thermostats on the radiators were removed so that the resident could not add heat to himself. There was mold in the bathroom.
I asked if I could stay a little longer than usual. They told me "no" because they had to clean the room for the next residents. For the next two hours after checking out, I sat outside my room because my suitcase was heavy and I was putting on makeup. So no one came to clean the room 🙁Good – Юлия from Ukraine – June 26, 2025 (7/10)
Nice and cosy room
What could be improved: It was difficult to find a key, it was a real quest, especially at night when we arrived and wanted to rest, instead of it we were looking for the key, the condition of the interior of the ground floor of the building was very poor and scary.
In the room I didn't even find a kettle to make tea. Also there wasn't sugar..
But at the same time the room was clean and cosy.Disrespect to my preferred language of communication added a touch of discomfort. – Oleksii from Ukraine – August 6, 2025 (6/10)
Good location.
Clean.
What could be improved: Unnecessarily complex (two-message) process to enter the apartment.
I have a question:
Why the response to my query (in English) this night was in russian language?Exceptional – Yeltekin from Poland – June 23, 2025 (10/10)
Amazing Stay in Kraków
Perfectly located in the heart of the city, this Airbnb made exploring Kraków easy and enjoyable. The staff were incredibly kind, responsive, and thoughtful—truly going above and beyond. A top-notch experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting!Exceptional – Gezer from Turkey – June 10, 2025 (10/10)
It was a very nice stay. The location was excellent. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen had everything I needed. I would definitely choose it again.
Not bad.., but – Mase from Lithuania – August 14, 2025 (5/10)
I liked the location, cleanliness, and comfortable beds
What could be improved: However, the inner courtyard of the building felt unpleasant and unsafe. There were suspicious “neighbors” walking around, the stairwell was dark after sunset with no lighting, and it felt really uncomfortable to go to the apartment.
In the apartment, the bathroom door does not lock, the Wi-Fi does not load TV channels, and on the phone it hardly works at all.So-so – Cornelis from Netherlands – August 5, 2025 (6/10)
It’s perfect location if you travel from Krakow Central Station. Staff is very helpful. They let us to check out later.
What could be improved: It was very scary to enter to the hotel. Rooms are also very old but furniture is new. And there was no hot water when we were there.
