You know what caught me off guard about Blueberry Apartments? I was expecting some cramped tourist trap given the prime Old Town location, but honestly – this place gets it right in ways that most hotels completely miss. Walking up to ul. Długa 30, you’re literally steps from the main square (I mean, you can hear the trumpet call from St. Mary’s if you open your windows), but somehow they’ve managed to create this surprisingly quiet sanctuary that doesn’t feel like you’re sleeping inside a snow globe.

The apartments themselves – and I stayed in three different ones over multiple visits – actually feel like someone’s well-appointed home rather than sterile hotel rooms. The kitchens are properly equipped (not just a sad mini-fridge and microwave situation), which matters when you want to grab fresh bread from the bakery on Grodzka and make proper coffee in the morning. What really sold me though was the attention to details that most places overlook entirely. The wifi actually works everywhere, the water pressure is fantastic (rare in these old buildings, trust me), and they’ve somehow soundproofed things enough that you’re not listening to every conversation from the courtyard below. The design hits that sweet spot between modern comfort and respecting the historic character – exposed brick where it matters, updated everything else where it counts.

Here’s the thing about staying right on Długa – you’re in the absolute heart of everything, but you need to know what you’re getting into. Summer evenings can get lively (Polish lively, which is saying something), but honestly, that’s half the charm. You’ll fall asleep to the sound of people enjoying themselves rather than traffic noise, and come morning, you’re a two-minute walk from the best coffee at Caffè Camelot or proper zapiekanka from the Cloth Hall vendors. The location means you can actually experience Krakow like locals do – popping back to drop off shopping bags, taking afternoon breaks, avoiding the tour group rushes by timing things right. Plus, and this isn’t nothing, you can walk to Kazimierz in fifteen minutes through streets most tourists never see, or catch trams to Nowa Huta without dealing with taxi nonsense. The management genuinely cares about the experience too – they’ll point you toward the good pierogi place (not the touristy one) and actually know bus schedules when you need to get to the airport. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel smug about your accommodation choice, which, let’s be honest, is exactly what you want when you’re traveling.

  Lovely, very comfortable and well-equipped apartment, in an excellent location, a short walk from all the important attractions in Krakow. Public transport nearby. Exceptionally good service from the wonderful Dagmara, who takes care of everything you can think of. Ideal apartment for a stay in Krakow. Highly recommended.

  Dragmara was so helpful even before we arrived. We got to Krakow very early in the morning and she helped us with bag storage and managed to get the apartment ready for us earlier than planned. She met us on arrival and showed us around the apartment.
  The apartment itself is possibly the most well equipped I have ever stayed in and loads of nice extras such as milk, drinks and sweets provided by Dragmara. There is a washing machine and racks for drying clothes, ironing board. Everything you need from an apartment plus more.
  It is located minutes from the old town in a beautiful historic old building with incredibly high ceilings. You are located on one of the main streets so there is some road noise but ear plugs are provided if you need and we found that once we closed the windows there wasn't much noise. There is air conditioning so you don't have to worry about getting too hot in the summer.
  The beds are super comfortable and the apartment really clean and tidy. Both bedrooms have big TVs with Netflix and Prime accounts set up. Bathroom has great water pressure and again lots of extras provided, soap, shampoo, conditioner, face wipes etc.
  Overall I would say the best apartment I have stayed in and I have stayed in many.

  The apartment was absolutely beautiful — a true gem in the heart of Kraków. From the moment we stepped inside, we were struck by how thoughtfully designed and immaculately maintained the space was. The decor was stunning — modern yet warm, with tasteful touches that made it feel both luxurious and inviting. Every corner of the apartment reflected an eye for detail, from the elegant lighting fixtures to the carefully chosen artwork and color palette that created such a calming atmosphere
  
  What could be improved: There were four of us ladies staying, and the apartment was not only spacious enough to comfortably accommodate us all, but it also felt like a home away from home. We had everything we could possibly need, and more.
  
  One of the standout features was the abundance of thoughtful extras provided — the toiletries, for example, were far beyond the standard travel-size bottles you often get. High-quality soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and even extras like cotton pads, earbuds, and luxurious hand creams were all available. These small touches made such a difference and really elevated the experience.
  
  The kitchen was fully equipped with everything from high-end appliances to a lovely coffee machine, perfect for relaxed mornings before heading out to explore the city. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with crisp, clean linens and plush pillows that ensured a restful night’s sleep after long days of sightseeing.
  
  We truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay — stylish, spotless, and superbly located. If you’re heading to Kraków and want somewhere that feels special, I couldn’t recommend this apartment more highly.

  Dagmara was an amazing host! We arrived really late at night but she met us at the apartment and showed us around.
  We came near Christmas and the apartment was beautifully decorated with Christmas decor and a massive real Christmas tree. It really made the trip extra special and feel very Christmassy.
  The apartment was spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything you could need. Dagmara also provided a huge selection of complementary snacks, drinks, teas etc. which was much appreciated.
  The location was also perfect for us, as it was about a 10 minute walk to the Christmas markets and the train station.
  I would absolutely recommend this apartment and hope to return in the future!

  Dagmara was the most amazing host! We arrived very late but she was there to meet us and show us round the apartment. The apartment was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and had everything you could need and more! A huge selection of Complimentary snacks and drinks was such a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this apartment again next time I’m in Krakow.
