You know what struck me first about Borkowska Corner? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street that most tourists would walk right past – and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. I mean, you’re literally three minutes from the main square, but it feels like you’ve stumbled into where actual Cracovians live. The building itself has that solid, unpretentious Polish charm – none of that over-renovated shine that strips away character.

The rooms are… well, they’re exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place, but done right. Clean lines, decent beds (I’m picky about mattresses and theirs passed the test), and surprisingly good soundproofing considering you’re in the city center. What I really appreciated were the little touches that show someone actually thought about guest experience – proper reading lights, enough outlets for your devices, and bathroom fixtures that don’t feel like they were installed in 1987. The staff genuinely seemed to know the neighborhood too, not just the tourist traps. When I asked about breakfast spots, they pointed me toward this little bakery on Dietla street that serves incredible oscypek – definitely not something you’d find in a guidebook.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned without being in the chaos. Walk toward Wawel Castle and you’ll hit all the main sights, but head the other direction and you’re in Kazimierz before you know it – actually faster than from most Old Town hotels, if we’re being honest. I stayed there during shoulder season in October, so I can’t speak to summer crowds, but the whole area felt refreshingly normal. You hear morning trams rather than tour groups, which honestly made me sleep better. The 8.1 rating makes total sense – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, just delivering exactly what you need in a city where location and authenticity matter more than fancy amenities. If you’re the type who wants to experience Krakow like someone who actually lives there rather than checking boxes on a tourist itinerary, this place gets it right.

  in general, the apartment itself is good, only you need to clean the bathroom (you could say there was no toilet paper), there is a sofa in the hall (I found some socks) in the kitchen the floor is dirty (there was a corn stick).

  I chose the apartment due to location and that was absolutely perfect. There is great infrastructure around with shops, pharmacies and so on. No elevator, but the apartment is located on the first floor, so not that many stairs to tackle.
  
  What could be improved: The cleanliness however left a lot to be desired. The shower wasn't even cleaned after the previous guests, there was hair and dried on foam. I can't tell if this is the standard, but that to me was a huge red flag. Having a closer look, I'm sure no one gave that shower a proper scrub for months, as there was black mold forming. The floor didn't seem to be vacuumed with fluff flying around. The bed is very basic so watch out if you have back problems.

  ładne mieszkanie, ale jak na dłuższy pobyt, jest mało miejsca i mało mebli na rzeczy, a lokalizacja jest bardzo daleko od centrum i od dużych sklepów
