Borkowska Corner Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Borkowska Corner, you might actually miss it at first — it’s tucked into a residential building on a quiet street that feels more like a local neighborhood than a tourist zone. That’s honestly part of its charm. This four-star property doesn’t announce itself with flashy signage or marble lobbies, but once you’re inside, you realize that’s exactly the point. The intimate scale means you’re not dealing with tour groups crowding elevators or fighting for breakfast tables.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about the Borkowska 3 address — you’re close enough to walk to the Old Town (maybe 15 minutes on foot), but you’re actually staying where Krakovians live their daily lives. There’s a small grocery store around the corner, and I noticed locals grabbing their morning coffee at a café just down the street. Couples seem to particularly appreciate this setup, probably because it feels more authentic than staying right in the tourist center. Plus, and this is huge for Krakow, there’s free parking on-site. Anyone who’s tried to park near the Main Square knows this is basically gold.
The Rooms
The apartments here are what you’d call refined without being stuffy — think clean lines, quality furnishings, and those little touches that show someone actually thought about how travelers live. I mean, there are proper kitchen setups if you want to grab some pierogi from the local market and heat them up. The windows are well-insulated too, which matters because Borkowska street, while quiet, still has the occasional tram rumbling nearby. You’ll sleep well here, and honestly, after walking around Krakow all day, that’s what counts.
Practical Perks
What really works about this place is how it handles the small stuff that can make or break a stay. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building — not always a given in these older Krakow buildings. The kitchenettes are stocked with real dishes and cookware, not the plastic nonsense you sometimes get. And here’s something you don’t expect — the building itself is quiet. You know how some places echo every footstep and conversation? Not here. The soundproofing between units is surprisingly good for what’s essentially a converted residential building.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests keep mentioning the location in their reviews, and I get it — there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that feels discovered rather than obvious. You’re close enough to everything that matters (the castle, Kazimierz district, all the main sights), but far enough away that you can actually relax in the evenings. The combination of free parking, well-equipped apartments, and that residential neighborhood vibe creates this sweet spot that’s particularly appealing if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living in Krakow rather than just visiting it.

Decent accomodation but might require a clean up – Katkrk from Poland – January 20, 2025 (5/10)
I chose the apartment due to location and that was absolutely perfect. There is great infrastructure around with shops, pharmacies and so on. No elevator, but the apartment is located on the first floor, so not that many stairs to tackle.
What could be improved: The cleanliness however left a lot to be desired. The shower wasn't even cleaned after the previous guests, there was hair and dried on foam. I can't tell if this is the standard, but that to me was a huge red flag. Having a closer look, I'm sure no one gave that shower a proper scrub for months, as there was black mold forming. The floor didn't seem to be vacuumed with fluff flying around. The bed is very basic so watch out if you have back problems.Very Good – Жуківський from Poland – January 5, 2025 (8/10)
ładne mieszkanie, ale jak na dłuższy pobyt, jest mało miejsca i mało mebli na rzeczy, a lokalizacja jest bardzo daleko od centrum i od dużych sklepów
There is potential – Wrinklyearth from Poland – December 7, 2024 (6/10)
in general, the apartment itself is good, only you need to clean the bathroom (you could say there was no toilet paper), there is a sofa in the hall (I found some socks) in the kitchen the floor is dirty (there was a corn stick).
What could be improved: It's a little dirty
