Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to the Boutique Aparthotel on Grodzka Street, I almost missed it entirely. It’s tucked into this gorgeous historic building right in the heart of Old Town, and from the outside it just blends seamlessly with all the other centuries-old facades. But that’s actually part of what makes it so special, you know? You’re literally staying on one of Krakow’s most famous medieval streets, the one that connects the Main Square to Wawel Castle, but without that touristy hotel feel.
The moment you step inside though – wow. It’s like someone took a 14th-century building and gave it this incredibly thoughtful modern makeover. The apartments (and yeah, they really are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge) have these beautiful exposed brick walls and original wooden beams, but then you’ve got full kitchens with everything you’d actually need, not just the usual sad hotel kitchenette setup. I mean, there’s real counter space, decent cookware, even a proper coffee machine. The beds are genuinely comfortable too – none of that rock-hard European mattress situation you sometimes get. What really got me was the attention to little details: thick towels that actually dry you off, blackout curtains that work properly, and heating that you can control yourself (trust me, this matters in a Krakow winter).
The location is honestly ridiculous in the best way possible. You’re maybe a three-minute walk to the Main Square – I timed it because I’m weird like that – but just far enough down Grodzka that you don’t get the late-night party noise from all the bars around Rynek Główny. St. Mary’s Basilica bells will still wake you up at dawn if you’re a light sleeper, but honestly? After a day or two it becomes kind of charming. The street itself is cobblestone, so fair warning if you’re dragging heavy luggage – though the staff were super helpful when I arrived looking like I’d wrestled my suitcase down half the street. Parking is… well, it’s Old Town, so forget about it, but the tram stops at Stradom just a few blocks away if you need to get anywhere outside walking distance. You’re also right between some of my favorite little spots that most tourists miss – there’s this incredible traditional Polish restaurant called Pod Aniołami literally around the corner, and the Jewish Quarter is just across the river. Actually, everything in Krakow is pretty walkable from here, which is sort of the point of staying in Old Town anyway.
What really sealed it for me was that it feels like you’re living in Krakow rather than just visiting. The 8.6 rating makes total sense – it’s not trying to be a luxury palace, but everything works exactly as it should, the space actually feels livable, and you can’t beat being right in the thick of things while still being able to retreat to your own little corner of this incredible city.

What could be improved: The walls are thin, it sounds through !Best experience in the most central location. Hosts were very kind, generous and hospitable. – Christine from Australia – May 11, 2025 (10/10)
Excellent position beautiful room which was bright and spacious. Hosts were very generous with their time and advice. Would give this experience the highest praise for service and hospitality.
Very Good – Valentina from Italy – April 6, 2025 (8/10)
We loved the location and the room was really spacious and with great light.
What could be improved: We liked everything, it could have helped to have sopa and conditioner since it is now difficult having to travel super light.
One extra face towel would have helped, we only had one to share.Fantastic , comfortable, spacious and ideally located. – Andrew from United Kingdom – March 17, 2025 (10/10)
We were delighted with everything , far exceeded our expectations. Excellent location near the square and ideally located in the Old Town . Lovely spacious room , spotlessly clean and the beds were so comfortable. The owners / staff we very friendly and really helpful. Would absolutely recommend
What could be improved: Absolutely nothingBrilliant location, excellent room, lovely staff and all round great value for money – Daragh from Ireland – January 5, 2025 (9/10)
Location, room size, comfort and cleanliness, staff
What could be improved: Everything was really good but if I had to make a suggestion, I would suggest installing a sensor light on the first stairwell up to the hotel as it gets dark at night.I recommend Boutique Aparthotel! It's located in Old Town and also walking distance from the train. – Kribel from United States – August 4, 2024 (10/10)
The gentleman checking us into our room was so kind, friendly, and informative. I enjoy meeting people who are happy in life and this man passed his happiness on to me!
I like that there was a good fan in the room.
What could be improved: I forgot a personal item and emailed them about it but I haven't received a response. The item isn't important but as I'll be returning at the end of my multi country trip I hoped to stop by and pick it up if it wasn't thrown out (it was my reusable water bottle).Exceptional – Frenki from United States – July 21, 2024 (10/10)
Location was perfect. The host was really helpful with everything. Would recommend 10/10
Excellent room in an incredible location. Spotlessly clean. Staff could have been friendlier. – Toby from Italy – June 28, 2024 (8/10)
What could be improved: The receptionist seemed almost disgusted by the fact that we have arrived an hour sooner than the alloted check in time. Not a nice way to welcome a paying guest. Shame because everything else was perfect.
I would book this hotel again. We have nothing but good memories about Krakow, hotel included! – Jamie from United States – May 22, 2024 (10/10)
The location was amazing! Very close to the park that surrounds the city. Also close to restaurants, churches, coffee shops, the post office and the bus/trolley system. Would definitely stay there again. The room was basic, very clean, and safe for travelers that are not familiar with Poland. The manager was very friendly; he let us in and saw us out when we left. He was friendly and informative.
What could be improved: The only thing that could be better…
larger pillows would be nice, but everything else was perfect.Great location, big comfy bed, great shower. – Joanne from United Kingdom – April 23, 2024 (10/10)
Spotless, great big comfortable bed, shower was very powerful and hot which was great after long days outside. Very welcoming hosts too who was very informative. Apartment is in a great location and for my first solo holiday I was really glad I stayed where I did.
What could be improved: Maybe an email with instructions on how to enter the apartment when you arrive would be good. The gentleman working in the shop downstairs was very helpful though.
