You’re literally a five-minute walk from Wawel Castle, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: you can actually see parts of the castle grounds from some of the upper rooms, and honestly, that morning view with your coffee hits different than fighting crowds at the main entrance later. The staff seemed to know this too – they casually mentioned the best times to visit (early morning, around 8 AM, before the tour groups arrive) without me even asking. Plus, you’re right on one of the main tram lines, so getting to Kazimierz for dinner or the cloth hall for shopping is actually easier than staying in the Old Town itself, where you’d be walking on cobblestones with your luggage.

The rooms themselves feel thoughtfully designed rather than just decorated – there’s proper lighting for reading, outlets where you actually need them, and the beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-comfortable, if you know what I mean). I stayed during a busy weekend in September, and while you can hear the trams occasionally, it’s more of a gentle city hum than anything disruptive. The breakfast deserves a mention too – they do this local cheese selection that you won’t find at the bigger places, and the staff actually knows where everything comes from. Small thing, but when you’re trying to experience a place authentically, those details matter. Check-in was smooth, no standing around waiting, and they had maps with actual local recommendations written on them, not just the tourist highlights. For a 4-star place, it punches above its weight – you get that boutique attention without the boutique pretension, and in Krakow’s hotel scene, that’s rarer than you’d think.

• Brand new apartment near Jubilat metro stop and Vistula River – Yoshikoy from Spain – July 7, 2025 (9/10)

  Spacious, brand new, apartment without clutter and everything worked fine in the kitchen.
  Location was quite convenient as bus 300 from airport stops nearby Jubilat station and old town is a short walk. There was a security guard checking people in the building entrance.
  Also enjoyed nice cocktails in evenings on nearby rooftop terrace overlooking the river and Wawel castle (castle was not visible from the apartment due to a large tree.) The food at the rooftop bar was also delicious.
  
  What could be improved: No closet in bedrooms. It was only available at the entrance hallway.
  Construction in another apartment started before 9am and neighbor's dog burked from 7 am almost every morning.
  We tried to turn on the AC when Krakow became suddenly hot (we were there end of June). But the remote in the entrance never worked (after following the Polish instructions in the entrance) and room temperature was always showing around 25C. Maybe we needed to ask the host to turn it on. In the evenings, outside temperature cooled down enough, so we kept the terrace door open at night as Krakow felt quite safe and the apartment was not in the center of the town.

  Very comfy, nice luxe finishes, good security, enough towels and comfy, hard spring beds and white linens. Looks exactly like photos. Check in and outs were flexible and seamless. Great coffee place zaczyn nearby with the best pastries.
  
  What could be improved: Lights hanging abit low sometimes, hit my head a couple times. Also no hooks / hangers for clothes in the rooms. One room (twin) also has no natural light as it has no windows. Shower has no soaps or shampoos.

  Meget tilfreds. Slrdeles god beliggenhed, flot lejlighed som var pæn og ren.
