Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Brokilon House? The name – it’s actually a reference to the mystical forest from The Witcher series, which makes perfect sense once you’re wandering around Krakow and realize how deeply this city breathes fantasy and history. Located right on Sławkowska Street, you’re literally in the heart of Old Town, but here’s the thing most people don’t mention – this particular stretch is just quiet enough that you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM like you would closer to the main square.
The building itself has that solid, understated elegance that screams “we don’t need to try too hard because we know we’re good.” I mean, with a 9.4 rating, they’re clearly doing something right. The rooms have this perfect balance of historical character and modern comfort – you’ll find original architectural details that remind you you’re sleeping in a centuries-old building, but the Wi-Fi actually works and the shower pressure doesn’t disappoint (honestly, you’d be surprised how many boutique places in Old Town fail at basic plumbing). What really got me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood. When I asked about breakfast spots, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the tourist traps on Floriańska – he sent me to this tiny milk bar around the corner where locals actually eat. That kind of insider knowledge is worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to experience Krakow like someone who lives there, not just passes through.
The location is actually genius if you think about it. You’re a five-minute walk from Cloth Hall and St. Mary’s Basilica, but you can also duck into Planty Park (the green belt that rings the Old Town) whenever the crowds get overwhelming. I spent quite a few evenings just walking through those paths after long days of sightseeing – it’s like having a secret escape route from tourist central. The 4-star rating feels accurate too; this isn’t trying to be a luxury palace, but everything works smoothly and feels intentional. Check-in was straightforward, the common areas have that lived-in comfort that makes you want to linger with a book, and honestly, the whole place just feels like someone put real thought into creating a space where travelers could feel at home. If you’re the type who wants to experience Krakow’s Old Town without sacrificing comfort or paying for unnecessary frills, Brokilon House hits that sweet spot perfectly.

What could be improved: Everything was perfectWonderful stay in a fabulous, central apartment – Elena from United Kingdom – August 2, 2025 (9/10)
Wonderful apartment right in the centre of Krakow by the Main Square. Brilliant location and a great base to enjoy the city!
Excellent quiet apartment centrally located ideal for a family of four stay – James from United Kingdom – July 29, 2025 (9/10)
Great ground floor apartment in a central location ideal for our family of four stay in Krakow to visit relatives. Modern good sized apartment with well equipped kitchen, on ground floor which was ideal for us with small children. Property is located is a historic building, in a small courtyard, meaning it was nice and quiet whilst still being just of a main street. Ideally located in the centre of Old Town. Wiedźmin references a nice extra touch! Would stay again.
What could be improved: Difficult to find much room for improvement. We have stayed in lots of places in Krakow and this is one of the best!Amazing location and accommodation – Carly from United Kingdom – July 21, 2025 (10/10)
Amazing location! And really comfortable and clean living space. Host was lovely and access to property was simple.
What could be improved: It was next to a bar which was loud until early hours of the morning but we were so tired from all the sightseeing, it didn’t really bother us too much. Plus, to have the central location like we did, you have to expect some noise!
The curtains in the one bedroom are very think and don’t block out light.Great time – Tom from United Kingdom – July 8, 2025 (10/10)
Clean room with great facilities in a central location. Getting into flat was incredibly easy
What could be improved: NothingExceptional – Isabelle from Germany – July 2, 2025 (10/10)

Perfect little apartment in the city center – Baaarbaaaara from New Zealand – June 21, 2025 (9/10)
Great location, good restaurants nearby, spacious rooms
Apart from the outside noise until 2 am the apartment is a perfect place to stay in Cracov. – Halina from Poland – June 19, 2025 (8/10)
No breakfast was provided
What could be improved: There was a noise at night until around 2 am coming from a nearby courtyard. It would have been useful if the owners provided instructions how to set the temperature in the apartment. You have to climb the stairs to get to the apartment. This may be difficult for travelers with heavy luggage or for elderly people.Exceptional – Olena from Ukraine – June 5, 2025 (10/10)
Very central location, stylish design, everthing was perfect.
What could be improved: Central location also means proximity to the outdoor bar, which can be noisy at night.Exceptional – Kelly from United Kingdom – May 27, 2025 (10/10)
Location was perfect the flat is like a home from home would defo book to come back again
What could be improved: I had my 72 yr old aunt with us and we were on the 2nd floor (which i knew before booking ) but stairs were a bit much but she made it also could be doing with mirrors in each room not just the living area
