You know what struck me first about Browar Lubicz 17b? The name itself tells you everything – this place used to be a brewery, and honestly, you can still feel that industrial charm the moment you walk in. I mean, we’re talking about apartment 11 in what’s essentially a beautifully converted brewing complex, and the Atrium folks have done something really special here.

The location is actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying where locals live rather than in some touristy bubble. Lubicz Street puts you right in Grzegórzki, which – let me tell you – is one of those neighborhoods that’s close enough to everything but far enough from the crowds stumbling out of bars on Floriańska at 2 AM. You’re maybe a fifteen-minute walk to the Old Town, but you can also just hop on a tram if you’re feeling lazy (or if it’s raining, which, well, this is Poland). The Galeria Krakowska shopping center is practically around the corner, which comes in handy for groceries or if you forgot to pack something essential.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve managed to keep that brewery character while making it feel like a proper home base. The apartment itself has this industrial-meets-cozy vibe – exposed brick in some places, modern fixtures that actually work (you’d be surprised how rare that is), and windows that let in enough light to make your morning coffee feel civilized. The kitchen is legitimately functional too, not one of those hotel kitchenettes where you can barely boil water. I actually ended up cooking a few meals because, honestly, the local market on Grzegórzecka has incredible produce and it felt wasteful not to use it.

The building itself is pretty quiet – I was worried about noise since it’s not exactly in the middle of nowhere, but the walls are solid (again, old brewery construction pays off). Check-in was smooth, no drama with keys or confusing instructions. The Atrium team seems to have their act together, which matters when you’re dealing with apartment-style accommodations rather than a traditional hotel with 24-hour reception.

Here’s the thing though – and this might matter depending on what kind of traveler you are – this isn’t going to give you that pampered hotel experience with room service and daily housekeeping. It’s more like borrowing a really nice local friend’s place, which I personally love but some people find jarring. You’re doing your own dishes, making your own bed, that sort of thing.

The 9.1 rating makes total sense to me after staying there. It’s not trying to be fancy for fancy’s sake, but everything works well and the location gives you options. You can walk to Kazimierz for dinner, catch a morning run along the Vistula, or just sit in one of the nearby cafes and watch Kraków do its thing. That’s the kind of flexibility you want when you’re actually trying to experience a city rather than just check boxes on some tourist itinerary.

  The location of the apartment is great, only a few minutes of walking to the city centre and the mall (Galeria Krakowska) is also nearby. The apartment is spacious and has everyone one might need for a week-long stay. The owner messaged us all the details we might need to enter the garage and the apartment and how to use everything.

  The place was great. Really close to the city center and tram stop so it was easy for us to go places in Kraków. And it has a own garage parking so if you are traveling with car this place is the best 🙂

  The accommodation is located practically in the centre of Krakow. There are underground garages so you don't have to deal with street parking. On-street parking is usually quite busy and also costs 6 PLN/hour, so taking advantage of the indoor garage parking right at the accommodation is a great advantage. The facilities of the aparthotel were sufficient for a short stay, the room is very spacious and simply furnished. The best thing about this accommodation is the location and safe parking.
  
  What could be improved: The accommodation has been in operation for some time. More care could be taken with the maintenance and functionality of the apartment. Some of the light bulbs were not working so could not be switched on. The light in the bathroom could not be turned off at all, it was on permanently, the reason was probably a broken switch in the hallway. The couch was in two pieces and was not assembled properly for some reason. The bed was very soft with a spring mattress which was disturbing. The dishwasher reported that it lacked salt and shine in this regard the cleaning did not work well. A beautiful apartment without regular maintenance is falling into disrepair. In a wash of years it can look run down.
