The street itself has this quieter, almost residential feel once you step away from the main tourist arteries, which means you’ll actually get some sleep (though honestly, the windows do a decent job of blocking street noise anyway).

What really won me over was how the place manages to feel both historic and functional – it’s housed in what’s clearly an old building, so you get those thick walls and interesting architectural details, but they’ve modernized it without going overboard with the “boutique hotel trying too hard” vibe. The rooms are clean and well-thought-out, nothing fancy but everything works properly, which I’ve learned to appreciate after staying in too many “charming” places where the shower barely functions. The staff actually knows the neighborhood too – they pointed me toward this little milk bar around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise, the kind of place where you can get pierogi for about three euros and feel like you’ve discovered something special. Parking’s going to be your biggest headache (it always is in Old Town), but they’ll sort you out with directions to nearby options, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need the car anyway since everything worth seeing is walkable. For a three-star place pulling an 8.5 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises – which in a city where tourism can sometimes mean overpriced disappointment, feels like hitting the jackpot.
