The bedroom’s got these heavy curtains that block out everything when you need to sleep off jet lag, but during the day you’ll want them wide open for that castle view. What really impressed me was the attention to small details – good water pressure in the shower, plenty of outlets near the bed, and actual hangers in the closet instead of those weird attached ones you can’t remove.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in the neighborhood rather than just passing through. There’s a little bakery about two blocks down where the locals grab their morning pastries – I mean, once you smell those croissants, you’ll understand why I kept going back. The tram stop is maybe a five-minute walk, which makes getting around the city pretty effortless, though honestly, I found myself walking more than expected because the streets around here are just pleasant to wander. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’ve got a rental car (street parking fills up fast), but there’s a garage about three blocks away that’s reasonable. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no long lines or complicated key card systems, just genuine hospitality and someone who actually knows the area well enough to give you real recommendations, not just the tourist traps. I stayed here during what I later learned was peak season, but it never felt chaotic or overcrowded the way some places do.
