Honestly, when I first walked up to Plac Na Groblach 3, I wasn’t expecting much – it’s this quiet little square that most tourists completely miss because they’re too busy rushing toward the main market. But that’s actually what makes Castle View Boutique Apartment so brilliant. You’re literally a three-minute walk from all the Old Town chaos, but tucked away on the third floor of this beautifully restored building where the only sounds filtering through the windows are church bells and the occasional clatter of tram wheels on Stradomska.

The apartment itself is… well, it’s one of those places where someone clearly gave a damn about the details. The moment you step inside, there’s this gorgeous blend of original architectural elements – I’m talking exposed brick walls and these incredible high ceilings – mixed with modern touches that actually make sense. The kitchen is properly equipped (not just a mini-fridge and a prayer), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that you don’t want to leave. But here’s the thing that really got me: the view. I mean, they call it “Castle View” for a reason, and when you look out those tall windows toward Wawel, especially in the evening when the light hits the castle walls just right – it’s the kind of moment that makes you pause whatever you’re doing and just stare for a bit.

What I love about staying here is that you’re positioned perfectly to experience Krakow like someone who actually lives there. Grodzka Street is right there when you want to dive into the tourist stuff, but you can also wander down to Kazimierz in fifteen minutes, or grab groceries at the little shops along Stradomska that locals actually use. The building itself is quiet – you know how some places in Old Town can get pretty rowdy at night with all the bachelor parties stumbling around? This spot manages to avoid most of that madness. Plus, and this matters more than you might think, the Wi-Fi actually works reliably, and there’s decent natural light if you need to get any work done. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and honestly, having a proper home base where I could make coffee in the morning and spread out my maps without feeling cramped made the whole trip better. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be flashy or oversell itself, it’s just genuinely well-done hospitality in a city where that can be surprisingly hard to find.

  The location was ideal. A view to the castle and the river from the balcony. A short walk into the old town and less than 200m to the bus stop for a 4 zloty trip to and from the Airport.
  There was a good supermarket within 100 metres. The apartment was on the top floor so this might be an issue for some but it meant great views and a very quiet position with virtually no street noise.
  The apartment was very roomy, very clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen
  Maria the host was very friendly and allowed us to drop our bags off early she handed the keys over so we could head off and explore then texted me to say the apartment was ready so overall we loved everything about it.

  Wonderful. Warm, comfortable and clean. Bathroom toiletries were provided as well as a little tea and coffee. Maria made us a cake which was a nice welcome. Easy walking distance to the main square and river.
