You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from an apartment rental in Old Town Krakow – honestly, most places trading on location alone tend to skimp on everything else. But CHILLOUT APARTMENT SAREGO actually lives up to its name, and I mean that in the best possible way.

The location on Józefa Sarego is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the absolute chaos of the main square. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from all the tourist spots, but the street itself is relatively quiet – well, as quiet as anywhere gets in Old Town during peak season. I stayed there in late spring and could actually sleep with the windows cracked open, which is saying something. The building has that classic Krakow charm you’re hoping for, with those thick walls that keep things cool in summer and surprisingly well-insulated in cooler months. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no awkward key exchanges in random cafés like some places make you do.

What really got me was the attention to detail inside. The apartment feels like someone who actually travels designed it, not just threw together whatever furniture was cheapest. The kitchen is properly equipped (I made coffee every morning and even attempted some pierogi one evening), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The bathroom has decent water pressure – I know it sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many places mess this up. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the space, which matters if you’re trying to upload photos or stay in touch with people back home. Parking isn’t included, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway – everything’s walkable, and the trams are solid if you want to venture further out.

Here’s the thing that impressed me most: it feels like a place where locals might actually live, not some sterile vacation rental. There are books on the shelves, decent coffee in the cupboard, and the whole vibe is just… comfortable. I ended up spending more time there than I planned, just because it was nice to decompress between walking around the city. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works exactly like it should. For the price point in that location, especially during busy season, it’s honestly a bit of a steal. Just book early if you’re coming in summer – places like this in Old Town get snapped up pretty quickly.

  Cozy apartment in a nice building. The apartment is at 1st floor (elevator present) located in an internal garden of an elegant building. The apartment was quiet and well furnished.
