You know what struck me first about City of the Kings on Rajska Street? The name sounds way more dramatic than the actual place, but honestly, that’s part of its charm. It’s tucked into this quiet corner of Old Town where you can actually hear yourself think – which, if you’ve ever tried to sleep near the main square during summer, you’ll appreciate more than you might expect.

The building itself has that solid, reassuring feel of old Krakow architecture, though they’ve clearly put some work into modernizing the inside without going overboard. I mean, you’re still getting those thick walls that keep things surprisingly quiet, even when there’s a wedding party stumbling down Rajska at 2 AM (which happens more often than you’d think, given how close you are to all the good restaurants). The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully done – not trying too hard to be trendy, but comfortable in a way that makes you forget you’re in a hotel. The beds are actually decent, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase the whole time.

What really works about this place is the location, though I wouldn’t call it convenient in that generic way everyone talks about. It’s more like… strategically positioned? You’re close enough to walk to Cloth Hall and St. Mary’s without dealing with the chaos of staying right on the market square, but far enough that you’re not paying tourist-trap prices for everything. There’s this little bakery maybe two minutes away that locals actually go to, and you can cut through to Planty Park pretty easily when you need a break from all the cobblestones. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – I’d definitely ask them about it when you book because Old Town parking is basically a contact sport, but they seem to have worked something out that doesn’t involve circling the block for twenty minutes. The staff knows their stuff too, not in an overly polished way, but like they actually live in the city and can tell you where to get good pierogi at 10 PM or which tram line to take to Kazimierz without the whole tourist runaround. The 8.5 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Krakow, but it gets the important stuff right and doesn’t charge you an arm and a leg for the privilege of staying in Old Town.

  Tiny, but designed with care, looks good, and you've got everything you need at a very reasonable price.

  The apartment was located really close to the old town of Krakow, which wasn’t maximum than 7’ walking distance.
  It’s a modern apartment with all the necessary facilities, such as microwave, washing machine, hairdryer and most important in case you are a fan, Netflix!
  It was very clean and ready to accommodate us with a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival.
  A day prior the arrival, the host contacted us giving us all the relevant details how to enter the building, while they provide transportation service from the airport with an additional cost in case it’s needed.
  The best part is that on our last day, as our flight was later in the evening, we contacted the host asking him to extend the check out time, which was possible and our last day closed amazing!
  We totally recommend it!
  
  What could be improved: Only the TV and the remote control have an issue regarding the signal, sometimes it was stuck and we had to unplug it and put it in again.

  Excellent location. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable.. Easy access to building and apartment which was a code sent to you 24 hours before arrival. Would definitely recommend.
