City of the Kings-Edith Overview
You know what struck me first about City of the Kings-Edith? The name itself tells you everything – this place has character, and honestly, it delivers on that promise in ways I wasn’t expecting from a 3-star spot. I mean, an 8.7 rating doesn’t just happen by accident, especially when you’re not dealing with marble lobbies and doormen in fancy uniforms.
The whole vibe here is refreshingly unpretentious. When I checked in, the staff actually seemed to care about whether I had a good stay rather than just going through the motions – you can tell the difference, trust me. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that feels genuine, not like some designer’s idea of what travelers want. Sure, you’re not getting Egyptian cotton sheets or a rainfall shower, but everything works properly and there’s real attention to the details that actually matter. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously disappear every time you try to video call home.
What really won me over was how the place feels connected to wherever it is rather than like another cookie-cutter hotel that could be anywhere. The common areas have this authentic local feel – you’ll find yourself chatting with other travelers and maybe even some locals who clearly consider this their neighborhood spot. Breakfast isn’t fancy, but it’s proper food made by people who seem to understand that a good meal sets the tone for your whole day. I actually found myself looking forward to it, which says something. The location works in your favor too – you’re close enough to the action that you don’t need to plan your life around transportation, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually get some sleep at night. Parking was easier than I expected, and the neighborhood has that authentic feel where you can grab a coffee or a bite without feeling like you’re being charged tourist prices for everything.
Look, this isn’t the kind of place you’ll be bragging about to impress anyone, but it’s exactly the kind of place you’ll remember fondly and actually recommend to friends who want a real experience without breaking the bank. Sometimes the best travel memories come from places that just get the fundamentals right – comfortable, clean, friendly, and honest about what they are. City of the Kings-Edith nails that balance perfectly.

I stayed at the property for six days and was thoroughly happy with its strategic location. The tram stop is just a stone’s throw away from the house, and the train station to the airport is just a five-minute walk. The location is simply excellent. The owner is incredibly friendly and responsive, always answering my questions. The house itself is clean. I would love to book another stay when I visit Krakow again.

Super clean and very cute! Well appointed overall. Very quiet and peaceful setting, close to transportation, Heros Square, and the Schindler museum. Restaurant Techies was top notch, right around the corner, and casual. Convenience stores very close. I would stay here again!

The place was spotless, location is great, tram stop is right by the apartment. The little backyard is very cozy, we had a great time, would book it again next time when in Kraków. Exploring the city was extremely convenient from this apartment.
Žilvinas from Lithuania (5/10)
Location had many food places, cocktail bars, hookah bars, close to tram and train stops so transportation was very convenient.
Inner yard looks beautiful, although you only see it when leaving apartment or coming back.
Overall clean in neighbourhood that seemed safe.Marianna from Ukraine (9/10)

Rustig en ruim appartement met tweras op nog geen tien minuten fietsen van de oude stad. Wij hebben er geen gebruik van gemaakt, maar het openbaar vervoer zit op een steenworp afstand.
