City of the Kings – Inca Apartment Overview
You know what struck me first about the City of the Kings – Inca Apartment? The name is honestly a bit over the top, but once you’re inside this place on Lubelska Street, it actually makes sense. There’s this unexpected warmth and character that feels more like staying in someone’s thoughtfully designed home than a typical hotel room. The building itself sits in Krowodrza – which, let me tell you, is one of those Krakow neighborhoods that locals love but tourists haven’t completely discovered yet. You’re close enough to walk into the Old Town (maybe 15 minutes if you don’t get distracted by the little cafes along the way), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tour groups and late-night revelers.
The apartment itself has this interesting mix of modern comfort and subtle nods to the whole Inca theme – I mean, they could have gone completely cheesy with it, but they didn’t. The space feels genuinely comfortable, with good lighting and a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the Żabka down the street. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Lubelska isn’t a major thoroughfare, so you can sleep with the windows cracked open in summer without feeling like you’re camping next to a highway. The building’s entry is secure but not intimidating, and honestly, the whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no hovering desk clerks or rigid timing restrictions.
Here’s the thing about this part of Krakow that makes this place work so well: you’re in a real neighborhood. There’s a fantastic milk bar (bar mleczny) about three blocks away where you can get authentic Polish comfort food for practically nothing, and the tram connections are solid if you want to explore beyond the tourist center. I stayed here in early spring when the weather was still unpredictable, and having that extra space to spread out made all the difference. Plus, the 8.5 rating isn’t just inflated booking site nonsense – it’s earned through those small details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The shower has proper water pressure, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every twenty minutes, and there’s enough storage space that you don’t have to live out of your suitcase. It’s the kind of place where you start planning your next Krakow trip before you’ve even checked out.

Clean apartment, comfortable bed, good location, about 15-20min to the city centre by walk or 2 stops by public transport. Host was friendly and helpful. Self check in 😊

We really loved and enjoyed the apartment. It was cozy and had everything we needed. It has supermarkets and transports nearby and it’s just a 20 minute walk to the center. We even had a problem with the bed and the owner was available to help us and solved the problem.

The room had everything we needed, very clean and comfortable.
The terrace was great for our morning coffee.
The neighbourhood was very quiet and there are 3 mini market in walking distance (under 3 mins)
If I could complaint about something, is that the mattress was a bit soft for my taste, but that's just me.Exceptional – Victoria from Canada – April 11, 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was great! Nice design, super clean, comfortable bed. It had all the facilities that you might need and even more (the wash machine and a big board for clothes ironing). Absolutely perfect location and lots of small grocery shops around as well as bakeries and cafes.
Exceptional – West from Poland – October 19, 2023 (10/10)

Great location, only a few minutes walking from square, well equipped kitchen. Clean, perfect for couples or small families.
What could be improved: Not comfortable bedVery Good – Ivett from Malta – December 4, 2024 (8/10)
The apartment is exactly how it looks on the pictures.
Nice apartment, equipped with everything that is needed.
What could be improved: The apartment was not cleaned properly from previous people as the floor was quite dirty, my socks from white became grey.
The bed is small for 2 people and quite uncomfortable mattress.
Would have been nice to have a towel in the kitchen rather than using the ones of the bathroom.Very Good – Kristina from Bulgaria – August 4, 2024 (8/10)
It is in a very good neighborhood and it was clean. Had everything you needed, including a washing machine, full kitchen equipment and even a dishwasher. Was easy to get to the Old town and every spot of interest on foot or with public transport.
What could be improved: The beds were smallish and very uncomfortable.
