Honestly, when I first pulled up to the City of the Kings – Indigo Apartment on Dąbska Street, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s tucked away in this residential part of Grzegórzki that most tourists never see. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly why this place works so well. You’re actually living in a proper Krakow neighborhood here, not some tourist bubble, and there’s something really authentic about walking past locals heading to work while you’re figuring out your sightseeing plans for the day.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s well-designed home rather than a sterile hotel room, which I guess makes sense given that 9.5 rating. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the little market down the street (there’s one maybe a three-minute walk away), and the whole setup just feels… comfortable, I suppose. What really got me was how quiet it is at night – you’d never guess you’re still in the city. The trams run pretty regularly on the main streets, but back here on Dąbska it’s peaceful enough that you can actually sleep with the windows open in summer.

And here’s the thing about this location that took me a day to fully appreciate – you’re close enough to walk into the Old Town when you feel like dealing with the crowds, but far enough away that you can escape back to actual Krakow life when the tourist scene gets overwhelming. The walk to the main square takes maybe 20 minutes if you’re not in a hurry, or you can catch a tram from nearby and be there in half the time. I actually preferred the walk most days because you pass through some really lovely streets that give you a much better sense of how people actually live here. There’s this great little café about halfway – well, it doesn’t have a fancy name or anything, but the coffee’s excellent and nobody’s trying to sell you overpriced pierogi with a side of folk music, if you know what I mean. The whole experience just feels more real than staying right in the tourist center, and after a few days you start to feel less like a visitor and more like a temporary resident.

  The apartment is worth the price. Comfortable and clean, located in a good location, close to public transportation. It's especially great for those coming to the Tauron Arena matches. I heartily recommend it

  Przytulne, czyste i przestronne mieszkanie. Super lokalizacja: 10 minut tramwajem z dworca PKP i 5 minut pieszo do Tauron Areny na czym nam zależało. Mieszkanie miało wszystko co potrzebowaliśmy. Polecamy i napewno wrócimy następnym razem 🙂
